Reticle Dimmer
« on: May 02, 2022, 08:37:11 AM »

On most  of my aircraft I can use the "Toggle Reticle Dimmer" to select one of  8 brightness of the gunsight reticle.

Not on my F-4's.

The guys I fly with indicate that THEIR F-4 reticle will, in fact, dim.

Got no idea where to look for a difference in setting  in our  .ini's [or whatever]

Any Ideas???

I've found that the Ki-44 Hei (having the reflector sight) has its reticle stuck at fixed brightness always. I've tried to see why this is so, including looking in the cockpit class (Java), but I see no indication of a cause. I wonder of it has anything to do with the cod file (about which I know nothing.)

A standard "cod" file contains the aircraft's armament only.
In this case, an aircraft can only have one cod file.
However, it is possible to code the Class of an aircraft in the same format as the cod files.
So if you see ONE aircraft with two, three, five cod files and zero file hashed... it gets complicated.  :-X

Cooking coffee on demand, can be integrated

Code: [Select]
            if(cockpitCookCoffeeControl)
just search for things like Dim instead CookCoffee and you're good to go.

Code: [Select]
            if(cockpitDimControl)
 ;)

I thought cockpitDimControl was related to the night mat enabling (glowing gauges for reading in darkness)?

I have no clue, I just did a bet around my thumb, take a Pit where it's supposed to work and
see what code is difference to that of BAT F4F4 code. That's it.

The code I don't know how to add, so I'm out of this. No clue, too complicated for me.
