Hi Gents,

            Using VP Mod Pack. Tried to play a P-61 campaign with the included skins. Problem is, the skins are all mis matched on the AC. As a matter of fact, any skin I D/L for this AC doesn't show correctly. Only the default skin is ok. Not too big a deal, but what would cause this? Thanks

... check the name of your P-61 skin folder, in your Paintschemes folder ...

It must have exactly the same name as the P-61 in your air.ini file (first name, left column)

Extract from my air.ini file :

P-51B-NA          air.P_51B 1                                   usa01 DESERT
P-51C-NT          air.P_51C 1                                   usa01 DESERT
P-51D-20NA        air.P_51D20NA 1                               usa01 SUMMER

... in bold letters the exact name of my P-61 skin folders ...

Your air.ini file may have different names for the P-61 skin folders

... and check the file weight of the skins!
The "normal" weight is 1MB!
If the file is 12MB or more, then your pack may not have the capacity to use these huge files!

Guys... listen to what the actual claim is. Not not-loading but mis-matching.

Problem is, the skins are all mis matched on the AC

There was an old version of the plane mod. Skins for that version will simply not fit the more up-to-date versions and vice versa.

So that's that. If skins don't match your version, they are for another version of the plane mod and you can't use them.

... you're right, so here is another P-61 campaign, with matching skins ...provided one has the right P-61 3D model in his game ...
