Thank you very much cbradbury,
I didn't realise I had to rewrite the .ini and . properties files. Now everything works.

Hi  I am an old newbie.  Clean install of BAT 4.0 & 4.1.  Just installed the Harrier in (#JTW3)   Opened  _install_.ini_&_.properties_entries  This contains a list of text files.  On the installation for the Harrier there is a box which says to add these to the appropriate files in your mod directory which start mods/STD/    I do not have these anywhere.  Please tell me what goes where!   The Harrier does not show on the QMB list BTW.  ChrisJD       Very pleased to see Hunters & Canberras included as I worked on these in the 60s & 70s courtesy of the RAF.

Perhaps a mistake, if your entries are well done.

#SAS folder or #JTW3 folder?

To add objects to JTW, correct location of STD (to add entries) is

D:\BAT 4.2.1\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#JTW3\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects

And not:
D:\BAT 4.2.1\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#SAS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects

Thank you for your answer but No. it is in the following folder.   Path is H:/steamapps/common/Il 2 Sturmovik 1946/#JTW3/Harriers , etc  I do not have the STD\com\maddox,etc  ChrisJD

Sorry!!  Read your mail properly this time & found the folder STD/maddox/etc   Just to clarify, I copy the items in the air.ini in the install & properties folder & paste them into air.ini in STD\maddox  and the same with the others?  Thanks ChrisJD

In air.ini, you have to add the air.ini entry of your mod (one lonesome line per plane).

Harrier-FRS1     air.Harrier_FRS1     1     NOINFO     gb01     SUMMER
Harrier-GR3     air.Harrier_GR3     1     NOINFO     gb01     SUMMER

Other lines (they are NOT entries) in plane.properties and weapons.properties (i18n folder).
Noting else to do.

But are your Harriers flying now? :)

For other objects of the mod (ships and so on) the ini files are also in JTW3 STD folder (com subfolder)

Hi Sgt Pepper   All done - now have a flying Harrier - but it is Pink.   I read somewhere that can be corrected easily.  Any idea?   Thanks.

It goes better...
Pink planes? ;D
HD DLL alternatives!
They are in BATDOCS folder (root folder).
Or, try Carmaster DLL 4096 (but save all root folder's DLLs before).
