Build it up, tone it down, build it up, tone it down. Still a way to go...

Thanks as always for dropping by - back soon with more miniature mayhem.  ;)

Thanks, old chum - pleasant tune. :)

Well, back for a couple of nights at work, and looking forward to some time off coming my way next week, which I intend to devote to getting the Challenger finished.

An addition to the stash. As they do, Italeri have repackaged an old kit to tie in with an anniversary (I'm tempted by their small Korean war range - like guitars, you can never have too many T-34s), the El Alamein Crusader Mk III comes with a still presentable set of nine figures and came home with me a couple of days ago - here's the box art...

Should paint up nicely when I get around to it.  :)

Thanks for kind words, old chum.  :)

Well, fate has delivered another kick to the nether regions, resulting in my workbench reverting back to a dining table. Some frantic negotiation going on as to claiming the tiny spare bedroom as a permanent workspace. Meanwhile, I'm reduced to researching vehicles and colour schemes relevant to the stash - when not rearranging @#*#^#* furniture, of course.  ::)

Back soon like a modelling phoenix from the flames.  ]cheers[

Well, at least I can add to the stash while I'm waiting...

...I'm thinking heavily weathered snow cammo Carius or Wittman.   ]idea[

Slowly, slowly catchee table...  ;)

I should be back in action tomorrow, having come up with a cunning plan to reclaim my workspace. Meanwhile, I've been keeping the local model shop afloat.

Another recent and highly-detailed offering, looking forward to bringing all those rivets out...

The original Tamiya Panzer II from 1971. 50 parts as opposed to 230 in the latest Panzer II kit I recently finished. Pretty sure it'll scrub up well. It's headed for an Eastern front finish, the Afrika Korps figures are probably going to end up donating their equipment...

Oh, yeah, and these guys - the latest 3D-scanned technology...

Back soon with more plastic panzer pandemonium.  ;D

Thanks,, old chum - useful stuff.  ]thumright[

Will probably get back into the swing of things with the Panzer II - looks like a build in a day project (famous last words).  :)

Ha! Back in action. Fairly neat and tidy ay the moment, but I'm sure it'll soon revert to the organised chaos that you all know and love.  ;D

So...the vintage Tamiya Panzer II. I was keen to compare with the latest offering and to find out what you get for £10 as opposed to £30 - apart from a later model with a raised round commander's hatch and an optional turret bin (more on that later).

Well for starters you get most of the fiddly bits moulded on to the chassis and top hull - which are quite presentable.

Just five stages of assembly on the simple intruction sheet.

And four old Afrika Korps figures that need a fair bit of cleaning up. They'll look presentable given time and effort, but they're heading for the spares box.

First impressions, looks like an ideal (and cheap) kit for anyone thinking of getting into this plastic madness. Figures put to one side, time has been very kind to this kit, and it won't take long to produce a nice result. What I'd call a 'confidence-builder'.

Right! let's get stuck in...

Thanks for dropping by, back soon with a paint-ready Panzer.  ;)
