Reportedly, about 300 of these tanks passed through the Panzerwaffe.
The last ones participated in the defense of Berlin

As for the individual letter in the designation of the aircraft flown by Wimmer and von Heymann that day
from 3.(H)/21) there is no certainty. However, various sources usually mention the letter "D".

The Supermarine 224.... R.J Mitchells first attempt at making the first monoplane fighter. However with the Goshawk engine she used...? relied on a complex engine cooling system which went through the fixed undercarriage.. coupled with aerodynamic issues she was no faster than the Bristol Bulldog or the Hawker Fury.. and the contract went to the Gloster Gladiator... so the project was abandoned... :-|

Mitchell knew what he was onto... however he knew the future lay with monoplanes...

Yes, Eric. It took a lot of testing and experimentation to create one of the best fighters in aviation history. Too bad Reginald didn't live to see it.

He was alive when K5054 first flew... however sadly Reginald Mitchell would die before his beautiful creation would fight.. and what a legend he created... ^-^
