Request for a better Map of Hungary
« on: November 11, 2021, 02:52:28 AM »

Hello or good evening to everyone! I think that a restoration of the map of Hungary would be welcome.Including Budapest, the correct course of the Danube, the correct location for the Veszprem aerodrome. I am working on a campaign that is taking place on the territory of Hungary and I bite my fingers because the map would have a lot to add. Maybe in the future someone dedicated will do it . ;D
 Good luck and strong health!

I support this idea as the Siege of Budapest was one of the biggest, longest and most important battles of WW2, yet it's barely ever mentioned and no map contains the city. It also took a lot of raids by US bombers.

Here is a Map showing the Battle Area for Unternehmen Freulingserwachen ( Operation Spring Awakening )
the largest battle on Hungarian soil in WW2.

Also note that significant troops were active in the siege of Budapest some weeks later.
This map is more representative of the entire battle area than the stock Balaton Map which missed a large amount
of the battle area.

It is still not too large a map , and if restraint is used in populating the cities , should not prove too detrimental to
excellent frame rates and better historical coverage.
