Weird. They are pretty loud for me and in a silent area, I can hear them from 10s of kms away faintly

For some reason I haven't figured out yet, almost all my out-of-cockpit originating sounds are quite low. I hardly hear flak bursts inside, battle sounds etc ... like I say, perhaps realistic, but not as much fun or atmospheric ...

4.12 you say? Well then can someone please tell me why they won't work? I put it in my SAS folder, I did the stationary ini thing and they show up. But the sounds don't play. I've put the files in just about every samples and presets folder I can possibly find in the game yet still nothing. I even went as far as to put _ symbols between the spaces thinking that was causing it but alas no, they refuse to play. I'm using the Pearl harbour mission as I know it has sirens in it by default that play from the start, but if I replace it with the hand cranked one for example I get nothing. What do I do to make it work?

You don't have to move the sounds anywhere...

I only collected the sounds and marcost made the mod with the separate objects
For sounds only, you need to rename one that you like to ground_siren and put it into the samples folder of whatever soundmod you use
If the mod itself doesn't work, I can't help with that unfortunately, it wasn't made by me (and I still haven't got to learn anything)

Well it's a shame having to do so, I'd rather separate objects. However it did allow me to test some synthesized versions of a carter siren that I was working on using Labchirp. Overall I think I did a pretty good job on them. I'm also working on a Elektror siren for the German side. This was the 141Hz siren using 3 ports and 2830 RPM. As far as I know it also used 9 ports as well though.

In fact that's a question I have. Does anyone know when each one was used? Because there was the Hochton with 9 ports and the Tiefton with 3 ports. Which occasions was each one used?

Hello. Atoka220

I am Japanese. I used Google Translate.
I uploaded a video with a siren before. There was a copyright offer for that sound, and it was the sound recorded in IL2 1946, but there were times when the part where the sound of the video was coming out was silenced.

Is this siren okay with copyright issues?

What the hell

Maybe it recognised it as music? These are from non copyrighted videos and after all... why would you copyright a siren sound? lol

Atoka220 Thank you.
Because there were people who said ownership.
I decided not to use this siren sound.
