##### 70% crash, any help?
« on: July 29, 2021, 02:58:37 PM »

Hi, I'm running 4.12.2 modact 5.3

Tried installing the new PV2 version, no luck, so I deleted the files from my mod folder. Unfortunately, it still dumps at 70%.

Code: [Select]
Main begin: PlMisStatic: class 'vehicles.artillery.ArtilleryCY6$Mortar_80mm' not foundjava.lang.RuntimeException: PlMisStatic: class 'vehicles.artillery.ArtilleryCY6$Mortar_80mm' not found at com.maddox.il2.builder.PlMisStatic.configure(PlMisStatic.java:700) at com.maddox.il2.builder.Plugin.loadAll(Plugin.java:152) at com.maddox.il2.builder.Builder.<init>(Builder.java:3214) at com.maddox.il2.gui.GUIBuilder.<init>(GUIBuilder.java:90) at com.maddox.il2.gui.GUI.create(GUI.java:166) at com.maddox.il2.game.Main3D.beginApp(Main3D.java:1812) at com.maddox.il2.game.Main3D.beginApp(Main3D.java:1504) at com.maddox.il2.game.MainWin3D.beginApp(MainWin3D.java:212) at com.maddox.il2.game.Main.exec(Main.java:432) at com.maddox.il2.game.GameWin3D.main(GameWin3D.java:235)[Jul 29, 2021 8:38:17 PM] -------------- END log session -------------
Haven't touched any vehicle or artillery mods, so kind of perplexed here...

Thanks for any help!

Cheers

Hi, Herb!
I'm no modder, but have a look at your mods folder and make sure that it's clean of mods and try again. I recently had problems with my static.ini due to an old mod I forgot was in there. Try loading the game CLEAN, meaning turn off ALL of your mods and see if it loads. Then start adding them back in one at a time. If none of that works maybe someone more clever than I could assist you.

"the 70% crash troubleshooter

a Much rarer crash, but more tricky to pin down. 70% cdt indicates a conflict between one of your ini files (static.ini, technic.ini or chiefs.ini ) and actual new objects in your mod files To fix it you need to find out which line in any of those .ini's points to a worngly installed or missing object. Best thing is to revrt(sic) to backup and start over."

Good luck!

As I've been saying for... a very long time!
Before installing a new Mod... make a backup of the most important files of the game : the .ini files !

The key is the first line in your log!
That 70% has nothing to do with the PV-2....
You can rem out the entries from the 80mm mortar in the static.ini to check if that's the real culprit...
If it is, you need to retrace when and how you have accidentally deleted it...

Yeah, I looked at the 80mm mortar entry, and found that it's in the "COCKPIT_DBW" mod that comes with VP mod.

I've got a copy of the game that only has the VP mod though, and it's running fine. Weird.

Fixed! It simply shouldn't have been in that mod. Removed it, all works now.
