New sound of rain and thunder for BAT
Installation: put the batmods folder in the root folder of the game, and enable the mod in the mod manager.

Also, if you wish, you can create your own sounds; there is a program for converting files in the archive.

Very nice. Much improved, IMHO. I especially liked the rain sound from the cockpit - the drops hitting metal sound great.

...and possibly an alternative to the beacon signal? I use them a lot to find my way home (using NAVAID). but the crackling white noise and static  is pretty annoying. Would it be possible to have one that just does morse beeps, for example?

Hello. I made two mods for you, I hope Victor doesn't mind. I didn't touch anything, I just put the files from the VSM-7.03 mod into separate folders for personal use.
 If the sounds of the lighthouse are too noisy, monotonous and annoying for you.
You just need to change or replace the sound files in these mods, no complicated stuff.
You will immediately recognize the necessary sounds.
You can make them quieter, or even replace them with another sound, even for music)
First we change the sounds, and then turn on the mod in the manager ..
Sound file path:
 \ IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 B.A.T ModPack \ BATMODS \! _ Aircraft Common Sounds VSM7.03 \ # WAW3 \ Sounds \ Samples
and
\ IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 B.A.T ModPack \ BATMODS \! _ Alternative Beacon Signal VSM7.03 \ # WAW3 \ Sounds \ Samples
respectively for each module, # WAW3, # TGA3, etc.
