I installed IL-2 1946 from the DVD. Installed SAS IL-2 4.12.2m followed by VP Modpack 4.12.2. All working fine until "missionloading failed: landscape kursk/load.ini loading error". Same result with Midway, Wake, Hawaii and a half dozen others. Many others load and work fine. What is odd is that if I go back to the single mission screen and immediately load the same failed mission it will load. However, either the sky or ground is black or oceans pure white. The cockpits will display normal and planes and controls work as per normal. I have looked everywhere I could find but no fix. Running on Dell SFF 990, Core i-5 -2400, 3.1 Ghz, Nvidea GeForce GT 710, 2 GB gddr5, Windows 7 pro 64 bit. Thanks for any help offered.
