Ok this is a really stupid question but I just got the new update for BAT and I’m not really a fan on how intrusive the NG HUD is now so how do I turn that off but keep the other great stuff

You can set a key to cycle through HUD options until you get no display. Hope it helps.

Use 'Toggle Speed Bar' control key to switch between different HUD modes. I personally have it mapped to 'H' (for HUD).

International / Imperial (knots) / US Customary units...



...navigation only mode....



... or nothing (hidden).


To have an experience closer to stock go to the difficulty screen and enable the "No Speed Bar" setting:




This will get rid of most bells and whistles and you will be presented with a (modern-looking but) basic HUD:




If you just despise NG-HUD, for reasons you won't share here, visit the NG-HUD topic and find in the downloads section a "back to basics" JSGME-Ready download. If you take this route, please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.
