IL2 VP mod pack not working

Hi there I’m new to IL2 1946 and I wanted to install the VP mod pack to make the game a little bigger but every time I use the IL2 selector it starts the mod however it just closes without opening the game I’ve followed all the steps just wondering if anyone can help thanks
