SAS Modact CTD just after launching

I launch, the little transparent icon appears on screen, screen goes dark, screen comes back up again, the game doesn't launch.

The log indicates it's trying to launch in some kind of "perfect" mode, even though I changed nothing in the settings and the stock game launches fine.

Aargh, I forgot to set the beta of Il-2 to 4.12.2 and take out the old jet era plane lines out of air.ini... thanks for the tip!
