Hi!
I need help with converting this obj to a .msh. I am using MSHCoverter 1.18, and whenever I load the .obj, I get this error:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Anyone know how to fix?

I have never made a mod before, so consider me a beginner.  8)  :P

Looks to me like you still have the original 1.18 version.
You might want to give the "Ex" version a try:

Hi Storebror!  ;D
I have downloaded MSHConverterEX and It has helped me in other area's, but it still spits out the same "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object" error again.

Thank you anyway for the new MSHConverterEx though!  ]thumbsup[

I think Stainless' IL-2 Modder can deal with obj files too, at least it's worth a try.
Other than that, the only thing I could think of was to load the obj file into a real 3D tool like Autodesk 3DS max and use the Buggy Buggy Exporter to get your meshes in IL-2 format.

I would do that, but I don't see myself paying money for a program unless there is an alternative or there is a free version.

Blender is free and should be able to open obj files and convert them to 3DS, which can then be opened with MSHConverterEX again.
Did you try Stainless' IL-2 Modder yet?

Eddyp, as I already told you, ModelConverterX is freeware and does the job to convert between mdl obj 3ds. See the first PM I sent you for the link

I understoond that you wanted to work with Blender but take into account that Gmax is a free program and buggy buggy exporter works perfectly with Gmax - As a matter of fact most of the modders here made their first steps with Gmax.

The gmax download link is here (last version is 1.2)
https://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

The gmax registration workaround tool is here (gmax had been "dropped aside" by its creator, autodesk and this includes the original registration link)
