P-61 Black Widow campaign package for BAT (CzechTexan & vern)
« on: February 10, 2021, 08:35:33 AM »

Here are two campaigns for the P-61 "Black Widow"  for all you fans of night flying and fighting by two great campaign makers.

Adapted for BAT:
loadouts, objects, aircraft selection

CzechTexan's Burma Black Widow

Quote
A 7-mission campaign flying the P-61B Black Widow in Burma.

1944 saw a new type of aircraft enter the war in Burma - the Northrop P-61 Black Widow - operated by the 427th Night Fighter Squadron. However, unlike its sister squadron with the 14th Air Force in China, these potent new night fighters were never to have the opportunity to test their guns and radar against enemy aircraft over Burma. They were destined to carry out ground attack missions until the end of the war.

Note: Player has the option to change weapons payload to make missions more flexible and enjoyable. The very long missions into Thailand and to Moulmein and Rangoon will require droptanks for extra fuel. These are all very long missions...don't feel bad if you use the "fast forward" key! :)

The missions are very long, was that mentioned already? You are operating at the edge of the range and have to keep an eye on your fuel. Manage consumption and engine settings, touch down with just 2% of fuel... This is a flyer's campaign, autopilot might not get you home safely  ;D

I threw in a  skin of mine, the adorable "Midnight Miss".

vern's Hard Day's Night - Saipan

P61 Campaign 44 through 45 PTO

Greetings to all

Here is a 17 mission campaign for the P61. Starting in the Marianas in June 44 and covering various historical missions flown by assorted squadrons that used the P61 up to the last day of the war.

Historically detailed briefings and accurate missions, as you'd expect from a vern campaign!
These missions makes use of the C&C Radar Operator feature.

enjoy!  8)

CT, I hate night flying. I usually avoid it. But this campaign made me stick for some reason. Man, I sometimes was getting home on fumes (but I always did). :D
This campaign is responsible for two P-61 cockpit fixes I made for BAT: Northrop logo and working variometer.
