I am working on the battle of the Otranto Strait, 15 May 1917

Commander Horty's cruisers SMS Novara, SMS Saida, and SMS Helgoland returning from their attack on the blockade

... intercepted by a squadron, lead by Italian Mirabello

Phase 2, later the same day

Rear Admiral Alfredo Acton's HMS Dartmouth and her squad are on the chase.

Protected Cruiser St. Georg joins the fray.

Durazzo bound again.

Insofar interesting, as the biggest naval battle in the Adriatic also saw heavy air activity, with some ten flying boats from either side at least, as it was fought in daylight mostly.
And who does not like intense flying boat one-on-one?

I didn't have a thread here but I think I want one. So here it is with some recent stuff I have been occupying myself with.

I´m veeeeeery interested in this!! Because I need to do night bombing, and everything inside the camberra´s cockpit is dark! No lights! Is there any fix to change that?

instrument lighting is kind of weird in Il-2. I recall it was looked into but deemed not possible for the B2 cockpit as it is. However, specifically for this campaign, I came up with a hack. The Canberra model does not have Nav lights and it is fairly easy to use a nav light as a dim source of light inside the cockpit so you can read the instruments. It will be in the next BAT.

8 June 1915 - the first air ship downed by the Central powers in the WWI was the Cittá di Ferrara.  This special air victory was achieved by lieutenant Gustav Klasing (pilot) and frigate lieutenant Johann Fritsch of Cronewald (navigator). They flew Lohner L-48.
It is part of an upcoming campaign of mine.

Quote
"On Tuesday I got my hands on the "Città di Ferrara", as you know she was always coming to me. I naturally felt a giant joy as it was really beautiful for us two to attack such a substantial object to the end, and then to see the beast burning and then soon disappear. There I probably made a murderous roar at my arrival and became entirely hoarse, it was really faultless."
(Klasing,  letter to his brother)

The end of "Cittá di Ferrara"

The commander, an officer and five crewmen were rescued by the torpedo boat and taken prisoners.
