From what I've seen it kinda is, plus highly-detailed startup sequences for the planes.

This is wild.  It's the first time I've ever seen or heard anything about this Magnificent Kotobuki.
I was curious so I discovered the main Japanese website. 
Found several aircraft views here:  https://kotobuki-anime.com/aircraft/1/
(Click boxes above each aircraft and go to the next one by clicking triangle/arrow on the side).

I'm digging the Hayabusa skins as they are rather unique.  :-*

I'm just wondering which aircraft are used by the good guys/girls and the bad guys.
