this is the install guide and it has a screen of how you game folder should look like after install

so the stuff you have in the vp_modpack folder goes into the gameroot

Partial success, got installed correctly.. almost, now when I click on Quick Mission I get a box saying "QMB Pro Error, no quick missions found, either the folder "Missions/quickQMB Pro is missing or there are no Quick Missions in the folder "Missions/Quick" QMB Pro your settings or folder structure are incorrect"   EDIT...Nevermind, Ok, as I had read, VP Modpack takes up a huge amount of space, too much space for me, so as I understand I can use SAS Modact to install planes and such one at a time ?

I've installed everything as well as the patches with Modact 5.3 and 4.12.2 installed all correctly. Am i not supposed to run this with Modact? When I'm in QMB, when the mission is trying to load, it will give me an error on Landscape loading saying ~mapname~/load.ini file not found. or something like that? any suggestions.

Where is the 3do folder in VP Modpack where you put the objects from maps in? I can't find one, and any map I try to install always has missing objects. I put a 3do folder under SAS and mapmods and put the objects in it, and added all the necessary lines of text to the static.ini and all.ini but it doesn't seem to work.

I just tested my Solomon Sea/Coral Sea maps in VP Modpack and they work fine - missions save without dificulty. The folder structure is as follows;


#SAS/Mapmods/3do + Maps/_Tex + Individual map folders + all.ini

Make the 3do folder if you don't have one

All required textures and objects for BAT, HSFX, SAS Modact, are included in the download

I have added extra objects and textures to my install of VP Modpack over the years.

Your install of VP Modpack, may therefore lack some objects included in the other games, or the pathways may be different, so missions may not save. You will have to find which objects are missing and install them into the 3do folder. Also ensure that the corresponding entries are in the static.ini file.

Hello, everybody!
I seem to be having some trouble with trying to host dynamic campaigns on my VP modpack installation. If I go from Main Menu --> Multiplay --> Create New Server I am unable to host a 'campaign'.
The dogfight and cooperative options work without any issues at all; however, the moment I select the campaign option, the game will immediately freeze and crash, it does not matter how long I wait for the mission to start, it never works and stays stuck and then I'll have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and end the game from task manager. This is with both the basic DGEN/NGEN and DCG. However, I am able to have this option work on an updated 4.13.4 steam version with DGEN/NGEN and DCG. Also, both campaign generators work in single-player without any issues. The VP mod compatibility fix had no effect on my issue. I also happened to ask a friend who also has the VP modpack and he was also unable to host a dynamic campaign due to the same issue. I've included the logfile for my VP game in the link below. Any help would be appreciated, I've been trying to get this working for a few days now.

Hello,

I just created a 2nd install in order to check out VP Modpack. My first install is running BAT. So far, everything seems to be working except for my water textures - deep water is very dark - almost black. I've got my water set on 4 in my conf.ini and I'm not finding any mods in the included JGSME that look like they do anything with water.

Anyone care to take a guess as to what is causing this?

Configuration problem.
Test by lowering the setting levels.
Which carphic card do you use?
Only NVidia cards (except exception) support without problem the Water=4 option!

I'm using NVIDIA RTX 2080ti. I lowered the settings and it does not make a difference with the water. It does lower the quality of everything else though.
