(a) unchecking the 'markings on' box in the aircraft object menu in FMB does that (unsurprisingly).

(b) to what purpose do you wish to reduce the number of skins available? You could make a copy of the 'skins' folder for the aircraft in question, and delete the skins you do not want. Maybe enable/disable via the BATMODS folder?

I build a co-op mission with the P-51 (MARKINGS ON not flagged), some planes have the default skins, some planes have personal skins.

If the player forgets to remove MARKINGS ON, the result is very bad

With default skin

With personal skin

I'm using the latest B.A.T. version.

Then perhaps remind players in the briefing about markings on?

mmm...so you are saying that people download a mission and just jump right in and play it without reading anything about it? Excuse me for being sceptical...

In BAT, the briefing screen for a single mission or a campaign mission (non multiplayer) recognizes and automatically takes on these setting as they are in the mission file for the player aircraft and all other aircraft!
Skin selection and markings setting both!

That means, The player does not have to set it manually and gets the settings automatically, as the mission maker intended. In such a case your problem would never even occur.

I do not know if there's any particular difference in display of Coop briefings though.
