Patch 2 added to post #1. This adds the N48 Paddle Minesweeper, former Medway Queen. Model sourced from WoWS.
The rotating paddle function requires ShipExtension to be installed. This is an integral part of SASModAct.
If you do not have ShipExtension (why not?) then it may be necessary to disable Part 5 and Part 6 in ships.ini, however the paddles will not then rotate.
Some things I have not yet been able to fix require more coding skills.
1. The paddle rotation is still active even when the ship is stationary.
2. I would have liked to add a visual feature, similar to the _Prop effect, at the rear of each paddle, but without new coding it is not possible to have two _Prop effects.

... many THX for this nice addition ...  ;)

I can confirm that in a 4.09 install, everything works, except of course that paddles logically don't rotate, not a big deal though (especially when you fly at 300 km/h+ speeds  ;D) ...  ;)

Hi ashe, thanks for the Medway Queen.

I have successfully installed her in BAT 4.1, but only by omitting the paddle entries in ship.ini, as the ship will not show in the game otherwise. Following your instructions, I assume this is because the ship extension is not part of BAT. I downloaded it, but the mod has a bewildering amount of folders and ship.ini entries which would stretch over two BAT eras. As a result I don't know where to start - I don't really want to add loads of mod parts I may not need, especially as some sections may already be in BAT. Is there one particular class file in the mod that I could add stand alone to get the paddles working?

The Medway Queen is a great addition. Nice to see the little ships being represented.
Many thanks

The Ship Extension mod seems to be not part of BAT WAW per se so you will have to add it yourself...
It's a rather tedious work and you treat yourself with a good bottle of wine or beer while doing ity but it's well worth it as it upgrades many of the old stock and add-on destroyers and cruisers with enhanced Torpedos and other stuff...

And of course, the Medway, or N48, shows rotating paddles as well...

If installing Ship Extension, I think all you need is the class files to enable the paddle function -- possibly.

Hello asheshouse, the N48 is a really lovely model and for me shows and runs in my ModAct 5.30 install, however, my paddles do not rotate. ;)

There is nothing obvious listed in the log that I can see so it could be something else is having a detrimental affect on the rotation, what though I have no clue but at least it is working otherwise. 8)

Take carer and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

No success,I'm afraid. No too much of a loss really - it would have been nice to have the moving paddles, but not particularly visible from a fast-moving aircraft anyway.
