UP 3.3 Patch7 FMB Self-Destructs Upon Attempt to View He-177

Step 1: open game.
Step 2: open FMB.
Step 3: create new He-177.
Step 4: open view object menu.
Step 5: click "Plane 1"

Boom.

Wild guess: Do you have the "#UP#_Jeronimo_Cowlings_Props_Wheels" mod enabled in JSGME? Try to disable it.
Or maybe you've installed another 177 mod on top? Get rid of it.

Probable work around:

Step 1: open game.
Step 2: open FMB.
Step 3: create new 'any old plane that works' - avoid the He-177.
Step 4: open view object menu.
Step 5: click "Plane 1", select as 'player
Step 6: Go to 'properties' in the view object menu.
Step 7: Select He-177. DO NOT THEN GO TO THE 'PLANE 1' MENU AFTER DOING THIS.
Step 8: Play mission. My guess is that the He-177 will then be fine.

My guess is it won't work because if the plane cannot load in FMB, it cannot load anywhere else either.
But since this is not a common issue, please try my suggestions from previous reply.

To maintain online compatibility, I don't mod the CLASSFILES OF THE planes in UP3. I did have the cowlings, props, and wheels mod from JSGME, though, and removing that fixed the problem.

We had the same issue with the Me-262 with the tailwheel on it IIRC with this exact same mod.

I think that's the culprit. From the readme of my latest "Kurland" campaign, for game version 4.14.1:

"WARNING! If you have installed PA_Jeronimo's "Cowling Engines & prop fix" you must >>DISABLE<< He-177A-3 folder, otherwise your mission will fail loading."

I think Jero's cowling and props for He-177 are incompatible with stock ones, introduced with game version 4.13.
