As per the title guys have you or are anyone you know had issues entering the site lately?

I have been in touch with stiv_069 today at AviaSkins, I wondered why I had not seen any posts from him, apparently he gets a cookies acceptance message and even after okaying that is unable to enter the site, as far as we know there is no ban on him so does anyone know if there are any technical issues preventing him or anyone else getting on here, could someone help in anyway please?

stiv_069 is not banned and he's just been online 1.5 days ago, with a manual login followed by a successful cookie login.
No errors logged on his account either.

Hello Mike, thank you very much for that, Mstislav told me he could get no further than the cookie thing and had not actually been into the site since earlier in the year.

Anyway, at least we know there is no technical issue, not sure what is going on, I'll get back to him.

Just like that, since a Win10 update on Tuesday, Google Chrome has not worked properly. Chrome installed over the old one, everything perfect again.

I have had similar issues in the past Gerhard, usually following Windows updates where I could not get into certain sites, usually another Windows update would eventually fix what they broke in the first place.

You could be trying for days and nothing, then all of a sudden you were in.

I have had issues posting images using the site facility, I overcame that by reducing the size of image, something I never had to do before, I put a lot of problems down to the numbers actually using the net at the moment due to being at home, maybe there is huge lag in certain places who knows.

Alright so what stiv_069 is talking about is the privacy policy, which has to be accepted due to GDPR enforcement which came with SMF 2.0.16:


No big deal then.
I've set the database flag for stiv_069 so that he doesn't need that step anymore.
By the way, we've got a couple of XP users around and no one has this issue, just saying.

Hello Mike, I am sure we have all agreed to that and accepted it, I did tell him there was some new privacy policy in use within Europe and it was necessary to accept it but I might have misunderstood what it was causing him the issue, anyway, I will tell him to try again now you have altered things.
