It is really nice work, David. Good to see Nero getting involved, too. Thanks to both of you.

You're welcome. There's also a second RNAS Western Front campaign, which is some weeks away.

As I don't have the space to install BAT on my machine, it's DBW 1916 for me. I don't know if its possible to make your Pfalz campaign backwards compatible David, but if so I would love to try it.

On a related note I was finally able to register at Free Il2 Modding and was stunned to find so much new stuff for WW1! I now have the Pfalz DIII installed and working perfectly, (I love this plane!) as well as the revamped Roland DII, and working tube sights for the SE5 and SPAD 13! I can now actually see why the SE5 was considered a fine plane. (hated it before!)

With the Pfalz finally in the sim I believe this is the best overall WW1 ever!

I converted a couple of dbw 1916 campaigns to bat, the caproni heavy bomber campaign and another 2, a Russian civil war one, 47 squadron that maybe is of David I don't remember i m sorry and a persian front Russian campaign by a Russian user, it was in the Caucasus is named but it was for personal own use for that I never told that. To convert a campaign usually I do so: rename the properties file, in the case of dbw you must add _ru at the end of them, and then open up every mission with the mission builder and every object reported to miss (usually a few, 3 or 4 it depend, a plane, a troop unit, a car and so on I replace it with a object of the mod I wanna play. And the campaign is ready usually. But there is some dbw campaign that don't work any case for bat. It depend, some can be converted pretty soon other need much work.). I guess the pfalz d3 campaign can be converted with a couple of hours of work. But maybe I m wrong.

You're welcome. Just putting the finishing touches to the FE2d campaign now. Just uploaded a Case-Red Stuka campaign with three BoB missions.

cheers

I don't know if 4.12 campaigns are backwards compatible. You can try. Glad the Pfalz works in 4.10. As you say, that site has a lot of good stuff on it. Did you ever do REd Baron 3D?

Mmmh maybe not. It depend. Also some 4.10 campaign and missions don't work totally on 4.12 it depend. An attempt could be done. Usually in the reverse process is fine, to convert 4.10 to 4.12.2 and bat but not ever.

P. S.
Btw David yesterday I found a working grigorovich M5 and M9 for the second part of the Russian navy campaign in the Baltic. I was thinking to include the pfalz and the fokker d6 in my Russian civil war campaign later after this Ww1 serie, (without markings ofc.). Ever a what if scenario also if they had some, especially the baltic states and Ucraina.

You can put in a skin request for any plane that doesn't have markings. Or PM one of the WWI Skinners.

I did play Red Baron 3D for quite some time back in the day. I still have vivid memories about the campaigns in that sim. Some of the most memorable sorties I've ever flown in a sim were in that game. I remember prowling the front looking for observation balloons to shoot down, and diving in on one only to be jumped by fighters lurking nearby. The entire front seemed alive.

Never found the same sense of sim missions being alive in any other sim, though our current sim here has come close...

I know what you mean. From 1993 to 2005, I played RB3D in Direct Draw. I installed Glide in 2005. What a revelation! Water color to color picture! In some of the missions I make, there is definitely another war going on that is peripheral to yours.

cheers

Oh, the  47 Squadron campaign set during the Russian Civil War. I was in Korea  teaching English there. I was David 625 on M4T then. I won't be converting any of my old stuff, or re-releasing it. There's too much potential for fresh new campaigns.

cheers
