Creating A First Static Campaign
« on: April 01, 2020, 07:49:15 AM »

I have began exploring the 'full mission builder' and am trying to create a short, alternate history campaign flying against against the red army in late1945/46.

Is there a more detailed guide available on creating a campaign and especially how objects such as the 'homebase' or allocating particular aircraft to the base. The IL-2 manual does not provide a guide to all options?

Here's a good start:

M4T has a large store of information on the use of the FMB, including a number of detailed tutorials. Some of the information is a bit dated, but the basics are all there, and still valid. Good luck, redbaron96.  8)

This series is a good start, even though it is a bit outdated, since there have been many additions to the game since 2012.

Play around with FMB for a bit to get the hang of it and do lots of testing. As a final note, check out FlyingNutcase on Youtube, his guides also help in the basics of mission making and campaign creating.

Here's the link, almost all his vids are guides to FMB: https://www.youtube.com/user/FlyingNutcase/featured

Glad you found that, Venator. I learned most of the basics from the FlyingNutcase's videos. Some of the articles listed on the M4T page at the other end of the above-provided link are downloadable, illustrated descriptions of FlyingNutcase videos. These descriptons can be consulted, in print form, while one actually works with the FMB.  To be sure, FN's tutorials are a bit dated, but the basics still hold, and once you have those down, features added to the sim since are easier to deal with and make more sense. Take care, everybody.  ]cheers[

Is there a list/guide to newer features that have been added to the Full Mission Builder?
How about the features that are for 'online only' such as 'homebase'?

You would have to check out the list of features in the MissionProCombo mod pages. Here's the latest version of the mod which contains links to the older verisons.

Also check out Command and Control mod, but I don't really use it all that much so you would need to ask someone who is experienced with it.
