The hd dll's will probably not work in directx mode. Just a wild guess, because I never used the hd option.

Can't for my life reproduce the issue with BAT 3.8 nor 3.8.1.
Regardless with or without HD DLLs, regardless which fashion of HD DLLs, regardless whether in OpenGL or DirectX mode:
All P-47s are always fine for me.

not in QMB
Why should such skin/material issue be any different in QMB than anywhere else?
And if it's not in QMB, how about telling us in which mission exactly it happens for you? How about uploading that mission if it doesn't ship with BAT?
Due to lack of further information, I used the Single Player P-47 mission for testing (because that's the shortest way to get the 47 into air without QMB for me).

It would also help to know which P-47 version shows the issue for you, so we don't always have to check each and every version of it.

Last but not least, you've lately sent me a PM with another issue you've faced:

After the update 3.8.  On my mod dedicated server, the opponent’s planes became invisible.  This applies only to non-standard aircraft ..
Now don't ever expect me to reply to technical inquiries by PM.
If I'd start that, I could quit my job, file a petition for divorce and do nothing else but answering technical questions on PM for the rest of my life.
But: Now that you see so many strange things that others don't see, could it simply be that you've made a mistake in the BAT installation process and your game is simply FUBAR?

It's not about dll at all, I checked the previous tip, not any difference.  You are absolutely right, if you have the wrong dlls, then this is immediately noticeable.

Istvan as mentioned before, I've checked both OpenGL and DirectX.
It works both ways.
Apparently none of the P-47s in BAT uses HD textures per default, as expected.

It's not HD related, that's checked. Istvan is heading somewhere else, if I see that correctly.

Graphics hard hardware would have been my next guess too. We had issues before with certain ATI cards and certain rare and random tga files not showing correctly. Reasons unknown.

My bet is that there's an additional mod installed on top.

What happens here has nothing to do with HD DLLs, graphics cards etc. IMHO.
The P-47 Modpack incorporated in BAT has one base class for all cockpits: "CockpitP_47DModPack".
All P-47 cockpits inherit from that base class.
And that base class holds the method to apply the correct texture to the cowling part in front of the cockpit:

If some other P-47 pack, some P-47 mod, some P-47 cockpit mod or something like that is installed on top, that mod's cockpit classes will not inherit the required base class "CockpitP_47DModPack" (that's 99.9999% sure).
As a result, the material will not get replaced when you enter the cockpit.
And the final result is exactly what you see here.

I am very sorry that I was distracted. I went in from the phone, did not see new messages .. The mission is standard, create a “dogfight” server, the first three standard missions.
With the installation of BAT, I think everything is fine, because this is not the first time I am doing this. I left the old fashion, "smoke and flame of engines" thought it was in them, it was not in them. Third-party mods are not installed not one. Support for HD skins is included.
Video card GT 940m, I will try to publish my config.

In "QMB" this does not appear in any way, under any circumstances. But now I noticed a new error, on the maps "Korea (3BG)" many planes do not work.
