BAT static.ini
« on: February 10, 2020, 03:09:49 AM »

Hi Peeps
Any chance I could acquire a standalone copy of the rewritten BAT static.ini objects list? Not sure which download it is in and i still use CUP.
Cheers
Mick

Hello, PO_MAK.  8) Each module, DOF, TGA, WAW, and JTW, has its own static.ini. Here's the sequence you follow to get to the static.ini in WAW:

#WAW3 > STD > com > Maddox > il2 > objects > static

(Each time I upgrade my BAT installation, I copy the air.ini in each module to Documents and rename each to use as a quick reference for active aircraft types. Each file is renamed as soon as it's been sent to Documents. This provides not only a quick reference, but a back-up copy of each file. For example, my current quick reference copy of the air.ini for WAW is called BAT-WAW-ac-38. That way, if I have a question about which aircraft type is where, all I have to do is go to Documents and open the file in question. This saves the 6-step trek described above.)

BAT05 zip contains that file.
I have no idea what you want or could do with it though other than see how much bigger it is now.

I am moving this to Lounge as it is no BAT Tech help item.

but you do know how this ini works
If you don't have the objects themselves, this is quite worthless.

From your reply I was under the impression you already downloaded it to get to the static.ini...
Besides, 05 zip is only 565 MB, the smallest of them all.

But now that I know what you actually want and what your limitations are, here's the text file:
