Problems with brakes
« on: January 28, 2020, 07:07:41 AM »

Hello everybody

I have a problem with my Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals when mapping the brakes. When I want to assign the brakes for each wheel in the key configuration it does not recognize when I step on my pedals.

In other sims they work very well

Any advice please.

On which aircraft did you try to use your pedals?

Be advised that not all aircraft in BoX will accept your toe brake input - only those which had toe brakes in reality do.
For the others you will have to define a key for the brakes. Depending on how it is implemented on the aircraft, differential braking works together with rudder input only then (many russian kites have this, the Spitty also).

And then of course there's the Podwa which simply doesn't have any brakes at all :D

I´ve not expressed myself well

BOX don´t allow me map the brake´s controls

this is what i try

In settings, key mappings and finally plane controls when i want to assign the key for the left wheel brake i press my left pedal and nothing happens just appears  "?" blinking.Tthe same for the rigth one.

it seems that my rudder pedals brakes are not recognized

Any trick, I'm missing something ?

Hola rojo!

Not even so.

Seems that the sim can`t  recognise my rudder´s brakes.

Never mind, brakes are for cowards.

Thanks every body.

Muchas gracias Mac, lo he probado en todas las columnas y no lo pilla.

Saludos y buena caza.

And for those who want to taxi.  ;)

Seems that the sim can`t  recognise my rudder´s brakes.

As Skylla suggested, assign a key to the (general) brake function and use it combination with rudder input. Works for all planes in BoX.

OK mate, not just for cowards

I´ve mapped keys for each wheel and a general one, firsts for taxi/takeoff and the other for landing.
In landings when you get   the ground if  you don´t move the rudder very smoothly the plane spin rudely so i though ussing diferential brakes helps for correcting the path.

And yes I usually fly red kites, where theese are avaliable

Thanks to all.

Excuse me.

Like Skilla said, when  pressing the general brake and moving the rudder, that  works like a diferential brakes.
