Glad you are happy with the new detail Shessi.
Even though the model was started as a separate project from IL-2 I tried all along to keep each mesh within those normal parameters of the game to avoid getting carried away, it also meant that if nothing else I could add the moving version and its stationary, thankfully the class files that Andrew posted have enable me to upload the model as objects as well so all is good.
I think it fair to say it has now gone the opposite way to how I intended things at first and is now a IL-2 project first and foremost, so much for my cunning plans, I cannot leave this game alone.
There is a image of a scale model out there that shows the Thorneycroft towing a Scammell trailer, I cannot find any information of a real one so have to assume it is one of those what if projects, thing is I am going to make a version of the truck with a fith wheel for trailer towing, who knows when all this will end.
Thank you very much for the link, there are some amazing old lorries in there, maybe other projects in the future if I ever finish this one.
Not much done this last few days except for mapping the glass:
I have enlarged the mapping and set it up on its own texture:
Looking through other vehicle projects in my install I found a upgrade of textures for the Kubelwagon done
by our resident artist Max, he had set the car windscreen on three separate sections for summer, desert and
winter with the dirt and such cleared away by the wipers, looks good, my attempt most likely not but I will
give it a go.
That reminds me I need to add a wiper to the drivers window.
Take care and be safe.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.
