Beautiful!
Been working on a version of Formosa map myself; it's nearly impossible to include anything other than the island itself. So much so that I'm limiting my map to northern Philippines/southern Taiwan (home to the well-known Tainan & Takao Ku).

Large maps take so long to finish. I think I've given up on large area maps. Focusing on a small area, or an island group makes it easier to pay more detail to map features.

That's a specialty I leave to others more competent in making missions.

For myself, I usually just take several planes from a specific era - say 1937-1940 and from the opposing sides, Japan and Kuomintang, have them start somewhere near each other with crossing flight-paths and then just see where the action takes you. The AI will take over anyway once aircraft are within a certain distance and then who knows what will happen. This works very well for dog-fighting in any case.

A really nice map. The textures are great and the settlements are looking fine. Seems that small but densly populated villages look the best. But i wonder, how did you spread them over the map?
Do you plan to add some roads? If not i'd like to try it, of course the curvy version.

I started the maps some 5 years or so ago, so honestly I don't remember how I spread the villages out. I followed the location of some of the existing major towns, but the others were done somewhat randomly I think.

At the time I started it, I didn't care for the zig-zag roads generated by the game. So I left them out altogether. So, if you know how to use the roadbuilder tool (I haven't figured it out yet) please go ahead and make roads. I would be very happy to see them added by someone who knows how the tool works.

Besides, once i post a map, anyone may do whatever they wish with it. It's all good.

So yes, by all means, go ahead.

Thank you. I will start soon, but this map may take its time.
I had hoped the tool would be easy to use, if not, just ask.

It probably is not difficult to use but the first times take a bit of time ...

Happy holiday. Very nice map. It loaded up without the objects pack. I will still add the objects pack as a subsection, in case any of the new objects are needed. Thank you for your time and work.
