Ok, granted, I don’t have BAT, but have you thought of doing an ETO/MTO RAF/USAAF A-20/Havoc/Boston campaign?

Is there no such thing around? Sounds strange, as this is a great aircraft.

I don’t think there’s one for stock, but I don’t know about BAT/CUP/DBW...  there are Russian and Pacific campaigns for it, though

Thank you for considering this.  I just didn't see any Japanese campaign carrier ops for BAT, I just thought I was overlooking it.  Again, thanks!

To tell you the truth, I have never built a carrier campaign before, so there are some things I have to learn. But I have started! This is from a mission set during start of the Battle of the Coral Sea:

Really looking forward to some Japanese carrier campaigns from you, Poltava!  They have been sorely missing from IL21946 since its inception, and will be virgin content for you to create.

I've been absent for more than one year on this forum. Therefore my question: was there any decission by Poltava or any output out of this discussion? What's about the idea to create a Japanese Carrier Operation?

I've actually started on one, but there a number of other things in my pipeline right now. Mainly the new, BIG "Raging Eagles" JAAF campaign for BAT!

I'm a bit late to this thread but...

Apart from Jackstone's Big Bird campaign, I'm not aware of any heavy bomber campaigns, particularly RAF and night bombing.  Given that both the USAAF and RAF "round the clock" bombing is considered a major aspect of the Second World War it's something that's not really covered.  I get the point that IL2 is primarily a "fighter" sim but I'm sure there's some hard-core 'heavy' pilots out there.

That being said, I'm new to the BAT mod so perhaps I haven't come across those types of campaigns yet.  In addition I'm not sure the "night" required for RAF heavies is modelled appropriately.

I've started a B-17 campaign (non-dynamic), from engine start-up and taxi to landing (i.e. looong missions) but it's going slow.

 Hamm66's Lancaster Tour of Duty campaign features in a Bat missions pack. I'm assuming (dangerous, I know) that if I copy/paste the BAT single missions into the original campaign it'll work - maybe I don't even need to do that. And yes, night time would require a graphics tweak - at least the way I've got Il2 set up.

I'm busy looking through large-scale US bomber/escort missions and campaigns (and lots of skins) - will report back if I find them BAT friendly. I'm tempted to make my own, but as a complete noob to that sort of thing, I think it might be overly ambitious for a complete beginner.

for what it's worth, I have a 'starter' mission (24 B-17s, taxi-to-takeoff, large formation and hitting French coast).  Long mission but OK for a template I think.

I was wondering if you had ever considered the 5 missions of "Operation Frantic", since the Central Ukraine map has all 3 cities used for the USSR's host staging?
