So I installed this today but can't seem to get any missions generated. The only thing in the log files that looks out of place is this at the end:

Code: [Select]
...
Writing mission
missions/campaign/de/dgen_+_murmansk4adoe0/10625.mis
Ostfront not installed!

From what I can gather ostfront is some old add-on for IL-2? The version I installed BAT on came from an old IL-2 UE disc with the megapatch on top of that and so on up to BAT 3.6.2, so it should have all of the official add-ons etc as far as I know? Just wondered if anyone knows what my best bet is here to try and get this working?

I suggest the following:
1. DELETE your current DGEN folder
2. DELETE the DGEN.exe in the main folder
3. Copy over the new files from the first post in this topic
4. Go fly.

Ostfront was an ages-old 3rd party add on you could buy for Il-2. Obviously you don't own it and that means the Murmansk map is somehow blocked for you.
I own Ostfront, so I didn't notice when testing.

We are currently thinking about simply removing these campaigns from the set. Is this a general issue for others too?

Ah yes, some of the campaigns do work, I'll just have to steer clear of any involving Murmansk I suppose.
Thanks for your help  ;D

First of all : thank you a million times for all this work  :P
Well, I tried the Murmansk missions before you posted some info on them and they failed of course.
I've just found back the Ostfront extension and wonder if it's possible to make it work? I mean by myself? or would it mess (as I guess) with the splendid work you made with DGen?
I really loved those Murmansk missions (a long long time ago ;-)
Thanks for your help

That does no harm at all, these add-ons were simply installing missions and campaigns
(and I have no idea how Ostfront manages to control the Murmansk map tbh... maybe another small file elsewhere).

So you can safely install it into BAT, I see no problem there, since no game relevant file is affected. Just after the process, replace the DGEN folder again.

I think we identified the "hidden" secret:

you need fake Hs123 skins inside the CR_42 folder:

PaintSchemes\Skins\CR_42 folder

Hs123_ost.bmp
Hs123_west_II.bmp
Hs123_YellowL.bmp

it's probably the "ost" skin that is the checkpoint. Please test by simply creating a skin with such a name and see if that enables the Murmansk missions.

Working on a revision of the USN Carrier Fighter campaign and all tests out OK except the last OP: Japan1.
I'm trying to add the F8F2 to the operation and I added it to all the files but get this error when trying to create the campaign:
