Hi,

While I am amazed by the sheer amount of possible fronts and campaigns in this DGen, there's one thing that concerns me. If it's made for BAT, why it doesn't use all that planes we have in WAW, and replaces it with reskinned planes from stock Il2? It's especially awful in early war western front scenarios, like France 1940, where soviet planes with Armee de l'air roundels are imitating french machines. LaGG-3 as D520, La-5 as Bloch MB152, Pe-2/3 as Potez 630 series and so on. Apart from performance issues (i.e. MB152 wasn't a successful aircraft, and yet it's played by La-5 which can beat those poor Emils black and blue) it just looks at least amusing.

Did something went wrong with the installation? Is there any option that needs to be switched? Or is it like that just because most of the campaigns were made before correct airplanes appeared in BAT?

It is like that because most of the campaigns were made before correct airplanes appeared in (IL-2 and then in) BAT, as you say. The same with maps.

DGen for BAT WAW is a solid foundation. What we need now are DGen Experts to make the most of BAT offerings and take this set to the next level!

Yes, I do plan to but it's slow going.  Lot's of trial and error.  Lot's of beeps and crashes.  But progress is being made.

Thanks for clarification whistler. Seeing the huge efforts modding community is putting into this wonderful game, I'm pretty sure we will see that done one day.

I noticed that Bolecke's Battle over Germany DGen campaign had an error related to the Berlin Mai44 operation, so I fixed it.

Oops, forgot to mention, the P-51B-10NA was not in Europlanes or the operation's planes file. A quick look in the planes file for the operation contains the lines you must add to Europlanes.

Just posted a relatively short guide to adding a/c, skins to existing DGen campaigns.  I hope you can get some use out of it.

Hi guys. DGen for B.A.T is amasing. Test some campaigns and they work properly, except Norway 1944-1945 (Fighter) luftwaffe career. When i try to start a campaign "beeeeeeeeeeeep" appears. Here last lines of log (because i can't attach images):

Inherits operations from DGen\opsNorway44.dat
Dangerous areas
Red:0 Blue:18
Can't open target file to copy:
missions/campaign/de/dgen_?_norway44york0/conf.dat

I watched this directory and really not found this file.

uhm, yeah there's a problem in your file path, which may boil down do some weird windows problem, (if you really instaleld this pack correctly!)

your folder path is (allegedly):
missions/campaign/de/dgen_?_norway44york0/conf.dat

while it really must be
missions/campaign/de/dgen_¬_norway44york0

if you really have the ? in your folder name there, then could it be that your system maybe can't handle the ¬ ?
What system and language is your operating system using? Russian?
No idea what that means, but I never heard of any incompatibilities with these special characters, they are used for DGEN campaigns for a decade now.

The Norway campaign is "campaignsDe¬.dat". There is no ? allowed and none used in these names.
If you really have a file "campaignsDe?.dat" in DGEN folder and that is the Norway campaign, then you have another problem and not the correct files installed.

Whatever it may mean, I can start this campaign alright.
