Where is the mapmods folder in BAT please?

I see them in the #mod folders like #JTW, but there are no maps there, just maps/all.ini and i18n/maps.properties files.....

In my SAS mod, I have SFS_MAPS, there are MapsXX.sfs files in there, but the .sfs files don't
have map names, just numbers, so how would I choose the map to mod on that basis, obviously
I'm missing something fundamental here...

Also, I already had these lines in my conf.ini, I cannot remember if this is a hangover from a
previous tool or not, should they be in there as well?  (=mis_xxxx)

Ctrl X=mis_cut
Ctrl V=mis_paste

I see that either no one knows the answer or can't be bothered to reply!!!
Sorry but after two days of battling to get my FMB unlocked working I'm feeling a little Jaundiced.

My solution will be to go back to IL2 v12 and follow Boomers guide, then paste my maps into my BAT version of the games.

My plea to anyone who writes instructions is to put yourself into the seat of a complete noob who knows nothing and start from there, If Haynes can do it with their car manuals, then so can you! We all love this sim, and find immense pleasure using it in a myriad of ways, going to bed after 4 hours unsuccessfully trying to get something to work is not one of them. ::(

I guess that you are a bit steamed up with frustration,  ---- which is why your post comes across a bit rude!

Major difference with Haynes is that they are doing it for profit, unlike contributors here.

Anyway -- Have you tried looking in Map Building Tutorial V.5 By Kevin P https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,33463.0.html
I'm fairly sure that all you need is in there. And its actually better than the Haynes manual for map making :)

Good Day from foggy ol' London town..today..lol.
I too have this 70% CTD message:- ..."java.lang.RuntimeException: PlMapActors: Empty group in file 'com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini"
I went into my static.ini and indeed did have some groups with no items in them , and after a tidy up, well I thought so. repeated checks of static.ini, and many attempts to get this to work...I'm still unable to get it working.
70% CTD.
oh, and yes,,I'm trying it on my DBW 4.10 set up...so dated I know but hey.
Maybe it don't work on that dinosaur.

Honestly...just one ask..pls..can someone explain 'empty group in static.ini?...static checker says there are no missing objects..got no typo errors..exhaustive re-over of static file.
Had to use the full static.ini from static checker instead of my own to get Unlocked FMB to work.
I increased ram in selector tp 1024 as well.

It is difficult to help you because I have never had this type of error!
And I haven't used the "Unlock FMB" for a long time, because it has always had strange behaviour...

Works perfectly in BAT 4.2.2 as well.
