Unlock the FMB?
« on: June 02, 2019, 06:10:27 AM »

Hello Guys

I have a little issue. I was recently playing around in FMB, trying to make my own custom airfield. However, i am not able to set Airfield objects or Airfield points for taxi, take-off, etc. From what i've seen, i need the "Unlocked FMB" in order to do that but when i try to get it started, i get the message that "This feature has not been implemented yet!" from the Mission Pro - by P.A.L. I would like to be able to use the Unlocked FMB. Any help on how should I unlock the FMB? I sould mention that i am using the BAT 3.0 Modpack .

Hi Chris. Here is a link to Unlocked FMB.... https://www.mediafire.com/file/5f69r8wn88o8sn7/fmb+confv2.rar

There are several things you need to do before using it though. I'll try to give you a list.

1. Unzip it to your desktop.

2. In your IL2 Sturmovik folder, open your config.ini with note pad and under the [HotKey builder] section add this...

Ctrl C=copy
Ctrl X=cut
Ctrl V=paste

3. Go into your IL2 Sturmovik folder where your config.ini and your bldconfig.ini is and make a copy of both and place them in a folder and name the folder Original configs.

4. You can use both of the configs that come with the zip but really you only need the bldconfig since you added the text to your config.ini in step 2.

5. COPY and paste the bld config into your IL2 Sturmovik folder and overwrite the original. Again. Make sure you have already made copies of the originals first.

6. Make a folder named Maps and place it in your IL2 sturmovik folder.

7. Go into your Mapmods folder and pick a map you want to work on and COPY it and paste it in the Maps folder in your IL2 Sturmovik folder.

8. Start your game.

9. go to Full Mission Builder and click on the map you want to work on. You should now see objects and waypoints that you cannot in regular builder.

10. After making changes to the map click save and then you can exit. Go to your Mapmods folder and take the folder of the map your working on and place it on your desktop for a back up. Go to the Maps folder in the IL2 Sturmovik folder and Copy the map folder and paste it in your Mapmods folder. When saving a map it makes the changes to the folder in the Maps folder not the Mapmods folder. You need to put the folder from your Maps folder in the Mapmods folder and start the game to see the changes.
You can now work on maps.

Here are some liks you may want to read up on...

I'm not sure. This happened to me a few times but then it worked. Not sure why. Let me zip up my gonfig's and I'll pm them to you. I know they work with BAT 3.6

Thank you for the files. Well, it is still not workng. I don't think the files are the issue. It keeps crashing because it won't load the MapActors Plugin. It says that "
Code: [Select]
[3:43:23 PM] Main begin: PlMapActors: Empty group in file 'com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini'
[3:43:23 PM] java.lang.RuntimeException: PlMapActors: Empty group in file 'com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini'
Should i try a reinstall? :c I don't know what's wrong with it.

Does the static.ini file also need changing?

I'm not sure why you are having the issue. the static does not need to be changed.

Try starting it up again and then after it crashes, copy and post the log entry here so maybe someone can figure out why it's happening.
