These objects are included in the vpmodpack under "Airfield objects by tomoose" probably downloadable somewhere but where?

In VPmodpack, #SAS/STATIC_BUILDINGS_AIRFIELD_OBJ/3do/Buildings/Airfield/
are all of Tomoose's airfield objects along with static.ini entries - easy 8)

Downloaded new beta, installed in both BAT and VP Modpack (good : I did not have to modify static.ini and all.ini : all lines were already present...).

Works like a charm in both installs ! Thanks !

Installation into my vpmodpack was quick and easy with the latest download file.  I did notice a misspelling for Rapopo airfield spelled with a K.  If that's the biggest error on this map then I'd be proud as the mapmaker  ;D
Below is a mission sequence for an attack on Salamaua.

Thanks for your screenshots CzechTexan.
It's reassuring to know that installation is smooth now !!!

You are absolutely right about the misspelling we ever noticed but forgot to correct...
So Here is a link for a new texts' folder:

We hope you will soon adapt your campaign!
Kevin made some 22nd Bomb Group B-26 skins I 'll try to upload tomorrow.

By the way I still have some areas (mainly east Markham valley sector) to texture before no more considering this map as a beta one...

Hey CzechTexan ! thanks for those awesome screens 🤙🏽

Question tho, is your B-26 (nice skin btw !) a mod of the earlier version, i.e the one that served early in the PTO (featuring shorter wingspan and vertical stabilizer, high wing load etc..) or is it the most common later one ? (It seems so, although not easy to tell)

I’m asking because Yann and i have been looking for an early version mod but could never find one.

Also, we made a small skin pack for early PTO B-26s intended for Green Hell or any PTO related map.
It just needs some final historical livery check, then we’ll upload it, you might find it of interest 😜

Tu rêves Kevin ! :D

We should post a request for the early B-26 model ...

The B-26 mod is the later version with longer wingspan.  There is no early version, as far as I know.  Anyhow, It's good enough for me.  Shorter wingspan (and its adjusted FM) is not really a big deal for me.  I'm just glad to have a B-26.  You all know we waited many years just to have it! ;)

As for correcting the text, it's much easier for users to open the Text file in the Map's folder - and then find the name and correct it - then save the file.  IMO much easier than downloading a new file.

Are you sure the B-26s over New Guinea had the early roundels with red circle in the star?  When I made these skins, I think I read that the red was painted out, but I'll have to find that source.  It's been a few years!  I made that campaign about three years ago but never released it!

There were B-26s flying out of Australia with stops in New Guinea as early as April 1942 conducting raids against Rabaul. The center red Dot was starting to be phased out in early May '42. The book "Samurai"about Saburo Sakai mentions the raids by B-26s in the spring of '42 as well. Far more B-26s flew with the white star field of blue circle in the Pacific. I'd say both are correct.

Yes, sure!
Many photos and profiles in Michael Claringbould an Peter Ingman books "South Pacific Air War" volumes 1 and 2 as well as in "Eagles of the southern sky".
Those three books became our bible!
