My Config Settings May Be Off?
« on: February 26, 2019, 10:17:41 AM »

Gentlemen,

Hello All,

The title doesn't really explain so here goes:

On my 4K 32" monitor, when in-flight, the frames seem to move at about 2/3 third speed, not what used to be full on the old 27" 4k. Selecting 2x speed seems to be closer. Hope this is somewhat clear. Any idea's?

Thanks for the help.

Jack

PS All other that I indulge in, P3D and Sniper Elite 4, seem fine.

I get that your frame rates themselves are fine (e.g. 60 FPS) but it feels like you'd be flying around with ⅔ of your actual speed - and the whole world with you, is that correct?
If so... unfortunately it doesn't ring a bell for me, never heard that before.
Nevertheless, if you want we can take a look at your conf.ini and your log.lst file just to see whether something inside there looks suspicious.

Thanks Mike.

The config is the one suggested for BAT with one exception. It worked fine on the 27 inch. The log seems fine as well but I'll post after a bit. FPS are good with the 1070 and an OC to 4.4, 8700K.

I will try with a fresh config which I haven't done and see what happens.

All the best,

 Jack

Same thing happened with me when I switched monitors. What you can to do is to run the freeware DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller, https://www.wagnardsoft.com ) and then (re)install the latest Nvidia driver. If it doesnt work then you can run DDU again, but install test an older driver.

More info about the monitors and your conf.ini could also help to solve the problem.

You should also try to test a stock and a modact game.

VP,

My thanks. A regular instance of SAS seems to work just fine now. Plus, with the latest NVIDIA I have, 418.91, Sniper Elite 4, using reshade, is a completely different display, 100% better.  :)

I guess the old way of removing a video driver left some things behind; the clean removal and fresh install was the trick. Usually, I'm unable to not install Geforce, it defaults to the mandatory install, not this time, so I'll use DDU from now on.

Thanks again. What a helpful community we have here.
