K-37 to the Front!
« on: November 07, 2018, 06:23:20 PM »

Download:  http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2620

A 16-mission campaign based on historical events in which you will fly a LaGG-3 K-37 in the battles in the Leningrad region and on the Stalingrad Front.

In August 1941, three LaGG-3s produced by GAZ-23 in Leningrad were retrofitted with Boris Shpitalnyy's 37mm Sh-37 gun. The planes were named K-37 and immediately sent to the front. A year later, an improved 1942 version was sent to the Stalingrad Front.

The first 8 missions are on the Leningrad map and the last 8 missions are on the Stalingrad (autumn & winter) maps. It's best to have Cyberolas' version of these maps.

There's more info in the downloaded readme file.

Must have these Mods:
LaGG-3 series 8

History of this early 37mm-armed type: http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/lagg3/lagg3-37/lagg3-37.htm

Missions made in vpModpack using 4.12
Missions use takeoff in "pairs" and "patrol" so your setup must have those options.

"Taxi-to-Takeoff" is used in some of the Leningrad missions.  You may need to tap the brakes to get rolling.
I built Kotlyi airfield.  Igor Kaberov mentions the airfield in his book Swastika in the Gunsight.
