Not dead yet.

I will slowly get back to it, first I'd like to integrate updates from western's recent release into the hinds. Next is reworking the Mi-8 3D and finally just polish the FM a bit.

Fixing the fuselage 3D.

I managed to map it to original texture (not finished), however there are some gaps where the skin will have to be fixed; also some pannel lines will have to be remade, windows moved.

More or less done
Still need to re-map internals.

Hello everyone! :)
First, I want to thank BT~Wasted, Twister, Koty and the other modders who worked on the Mi-24 project.
A wonderful mod and interesting, alternative FM! ]thumleft[
Secondly, I do not know if the authors are working on the Mi-24 cockpit, therefore, I want to offer the community my own (modified) version of the cockpit for the Mi-24 pilot.
This is how it got to me in the original:

As it turned out later, the landing gear lamps and some needles on the instruments are visible only at the highest video settings (open GL).

I have added the following additions and fixes to the cockpit:

1. Cyclic pitch control stick (Thanks to vudu_1 for the Chinook cockpit)
2. Collective pitch control lever (Thanks to vudu_1)
3. Engine throttle control levers (separate)
4. Control pedals and gear-up handle
5. Changed the position and added some needles on the instruments, so that they could be seen with weak video settings (direct X).
6. Changed some of the TGAs both in color and in the alpha channel.
7. Added a toggle switches to the left panels (Thanks Asura for the An-26 cockpit!)
Well, and other minor additions.

From what I added to the workers, only the Cyclic pitch control stick turned out, for the rest of the levers and toggle switches, I did not find any information in the cockpit class.
Probably need to add data into cockpit class.

Link to cockpit:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/o3x0zv9akdk5r4e/Cockpit_Mi-24Pilot_v.0.1.7z/file

Installation:
1. Back up original cockpit.
2. Delete the original cockpit from the folder.
3. Unpack the archive and place the contents in the cockpit folder.

Link 3in1 (classes, plane and cockpit):

https://www.mediafire.com/file/c77w08rjodv5077/%2521%2521_Mi-24_beta%252B.7z/file

Installation:
1. Back up your previouse version Mi-24.
2. Delete the previouse version Mi-24 from the mods folder.
3. Unpack the archive and place the contents in the mods folder.

In this version 3D plane I fix DM a little..

Have a nice flight! ;)

Hello dsawan!
I do not use BAT, in my heavily modified version 4122 I use the following mods to get this cockpit:

1. Original mod from wasted:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,32888.msg352689.html#msg352689

2. Additionally from Bunitomuso:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,48864.msg534507.html#msg534507

3. Beta version from this thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,59782.msg669385.html#msg669385 (reply 46)

And this is perhaps all I can say about it ...

Best wishes!

Hi
Thank you very much for the great job as always.
I have a question, will this cockpit work in this version of the Mi-24?

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,62770.0.html

Hi Sebastian!
Thank you.
I have not tested your suggested mod.
But most likely not.
Best wishes!

Hello Alex, I have downloaded these to take a look, however, before I paste anything in I have a naming
issue.  The cockpits for pilot and gunner in the version I have are:

A-20G-TGun.
MiG-9.

These only contain a hier file, nothing more, so they are designed to pick the cockpit up from something else within the game,
is the idea to put those files of yours in the Mi-24Pilot folder into the MiG-9 folder or does the version you are using have a
renamed cockpit folder?

If we are to use the folder you supplied using that name we will need class files with it named accordingly, I would
have thought the download would have one that corresponds to what we have already, could you clarify please. ;)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Ok guys.
I seem to have figured out the problem.
The Mi-24 from this thread should be loaded first.
But, working further on the mod (fixed DM), I collected old and new classes and a new 3D plane and cockpit into one mod (3in1):

Link (3in1):

https://www.mediafire.com/file/c77w08rjodv5077/%2521%2521_Mi-24_beta%252B.7z/file

Desactivate your previos versions before instalattion.

Try it ;)
