My game is 4.12.2m Modact 5.3 NO JETWAR installed now. when it was installed once and I got CTD (forgot %)
so I have to say that's my nightmare.... since I want to fly KC-97 soooo bad lol

20%CTD .... but what classfile is missing Hmmmm !!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE "SAS Common Utils" and "SAS Engine Mod" made their job
They do fly!!  but the cockpit LOL i can see only instrument panel  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D any solution? I've tried alternative cockpit too and got the blue screen...

P.S and HOW to Use BOOM/DROGUE??? ;) and if I drop Common utils and engine mod classfiles into C-97 Pack folder it's okay or dangerous?

1- common utilities is/are common utilities; keep the files in that mod where they are; why merge ?
2- same goes for engine -mod; keep them were they are; you need to EVOLVE engine mod to suit future needs; why merge files with Boeing?
So NOT OK.

Missing parts with pit? Wow, that's new. Possibly msh/mat/tga dependancy on some other mod ( jetwar tu-4; perhaps...).

3- Jetwar; just drop it in where it should be; forget about your past experience and do it; for god sakes don't install it:  use the pack as a mod.  :P  Why do you keep guessing (=  I forgot what % was... )? What the hell: DO IT. Presence is not install. Then if that fails, you will know you have a class file incompatibily somewhere,   but my guess is that you don't.  > ...what about the Tu-4 classes, I now think.

4- controls: each engine mod version gives you new CONTROLS commands to program in Controls; later engine mod have more evolve and revised "refueling commands", then older. But here, altitude is critical. Beams probably deploys automatically at the proper altitude, as I recall. I do have deployment at 1000+ meters.

Any link to the Later Engine mod? and you told Use Jetwar as a PACK? so you mean download core Jetwar 1956 and drag/drop into #SAS folder?

Ok Understood about Common utils and Engine mod
will reinstall that but the PIT now is the only problem I have...
Tu-4 !? NO don't say I must delete Tu-4 please  ;D

At this stage if you have an engine mod running, dont upgrade yet. Keep that for much later, if/when needed.
Yes to placing in mods the PACK jetwar 'as a pit solution'; but perhaps another plane/mod is also involved; trying JTW first, is priority .
"Don't overpackage Jetwar" warning, again: path to 3do / hereby the positioning of all files is critical. i.e.: no excess container file, please.

will reinstall that but the PIT now is the only problem I have...
Tu-4 !? NO don't say I must delete Tu-4 please  ;D

BUT HERE IS YOUR PROBLEM : Tu-4 is included in Jetwar so yes there is a conflict in having two sets of Tu-4 files, two mods, past and present versions of the same. "-" nullify existing Tu-4 + arms, to keep files in reserve; check out line entry for Tu-4 in air.ini, then in
Jetwar and compare them; "//" nullify old entry and replace it, or it is the same and u can keep it; but I recommend to replace it anyway.
This is true only if JETWAR is present; otherwise nullifying Tu-4 files W/O also nullifying Air,ini line will cause 60% crash.

PS: By then, any plane needed for missing pit parts might still be an issue to resolve, or not. This is a step by step process.
update:  Do step one. You did not. Sorry you don't follow the logic in this. You are stuck.

Tested in my 4.12.2 with SAS ModAct 5.30 using all suggested dependencies for Jet War by 4S_Vega and western0221 up to date.
Does it suggest that JETWAR is mandatory for this mod or am I wrong ?

Hello sosezi, unfortunately for you this mod is based around Jetwar and the latest version then of SAS Engine Mod because in this update it was the intention to be able to refuel most if not all aircraft currently in game that would have come into contact with the two types of tanker represented boom and drogue. ;)

For engine mod the latest is still the one to go for do not try to find a older version, whatever you have in your game bring it up to the very latest that western posted:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,52489.0.html

The earlier version of the C-97 pack I no longer have and that could only refuel the F-84/6, I forget which, because it was based on the earlier KB-29 refueler.

The best way to sort out CTD issues is to post a log as it can provide valuable information as to what is giving issues in your particular game version:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,13457.msg141587.html#msg141587

This is mandatory if you want help otherwise we have to try and guess, even with a log though sometimes we cannot always figure it out because of the variations there are in each individual game, however, we always start there.

If you think it is frustrating trying to get things to work imagine how it is for us trying to fire fight these issues especially when there can be language difficulties so a log first please and we take it from there.

This pack was extensively tested in BAT, if you can install all that then everything is already done for you, just a thought.

Do not loose heart.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Thanks Pete :)
Of Course I'll Back up everything and will do try again ;)

Life is War lol not a Jetwar but still  :D

Finally got 3 of them into the sky ;) it's the NON JET boosted (Transports and Airliner)
don't you guys know which classfiles tankers are lacking? I mean Common Utils and and especially Engine mod folder is big so there's probably only few files that fits those KC-97's :)

also Pit problem is resolved (not that perfect as I wanted but still okay) Using my little knowledge of Hier files I've spent approx 2 hours and got NORMAL looking pit (B24 pit though but it's better than nothing)
:)

Cheers!
