well,  I Got them all into the Sky! HUH! Finally I've spent 4 hours  reading Java classes in the Engine mod and found two classfiles named 9B73E5141796B710 and A54FC19AE9C73D9E those two were REFUELLING BOOM/DROGUE files ... and my tankers are flying now :)

that's what I got  :) :) :) 1st pic in the pit with my buddy

ALL 5 Planes are Okay (those 2 files which I've dropped into the pack made their job well)

MY LAST QUESTION of the topic is... How to attach the fighter to the tanker? I mean which type of the Jets fits those KC-97's in the game and which patch needed for air to air refueling fun

Cheers! :)

Hi.

I test C-97 variants in B.A.T. v3.8.3 and find a shadow blinking bug.
Are current release version in this topic and B.A.T. v3.8.3 version the same ?

A shadow blinking bug is caused by the shadow mesh has multi materials. Needed materials merging into the one before exporting.
The nearest LOD0 model's shadow mesh-es are OK and a bit hard to find the bug.
Perhaps LOD1 model of each engines' cowling parts have it. When the camera goes far 100 meters with C-97s staying / taxing on the ground, shadows of engines' cowlings become blinking.

Hello guys, I built the fuselage for this and a few added parts, the rest is from the original franken and that was based on the B-29, my parts should only have the single material for the shadows as far as I can remember. ;)

As much as possible I tried to build my parts to conform to the original B-29 with the series of lods following that as closely as I was able, other than that I used what was already there and in a mod such as this there are a multitude of parts from other sources that only Alex (Bison_M) who put it together in the first place could fully describe what he used.

Much of his work was done in the hier to assemble his original creation, I tried to improve the look a little bit so it better resembled the actual aircraft but as you all should know my 3d knowledge is basic.

As for tanking, the java should allow anything available to use both types sosezi, Phillipo (Vega), did that work to allow various types to use the pack, the original could only use a F-84 I think.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hi Pete, my KC 97's still don't want to Refuel anyone :-X only KB 29P doing it's job (but as for flying both KB and KC are okay)

tried with A4 Skyhawk and F84 but they just don't connect when I push Connect button....  ;D That Tanker is fun to fly though :)

Hello sosezi, the java fillipo did was I think linked into the Jet and engine mod packages at the time and so I would have thought still relevant, however, I have not used these for such a long time now that I am unsure quite what works or not. :-[

I never use the tankers myself proffering the cargo and passenger versions so it is a function I never really got into, maybe go through the various readme files and just make sure you have it all set up as best as can be, there were many changes over a long period of time on this package.

Best bet is use BAT if you can as that is brought up to a certain standard so the tankers are more likely to fully function there better than in a stand alone install. ;)

Take care and be safe.

There are various new cockpits around that others have made for the mod, you have to go looking for them though. ;)

Asura and Bison_M come to mind as having done things for this and other mods but they have their own threads that you
have to search for, not necessarily here, they will advise on what is possible with what they have made. 8)
