‘Sageburner’ McDonnell F4H-1F Phantom II for Sale
« on: July 26, 2018, 10:55:07 PM »

Ever wanted to own a Phantom II?
Never been pleased with just having "one of the many"?
Now you can grab yourself a real special one:
http://www.platinumfighters.com/phantom2

Some details of that plane's background story are available here:
http://warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/sageburner-mcdonnell-f4h-1f-phantom-ii-for-sale.html

James (P51vsFw190) might know about this plane, it's been saved from the scrap man in 1976 by the Air Museum he's working for.

You bet 8)

Frankly the Phantom wouldn't be top priority of my list.
If I wouldn't have to work for money and if I would not be married and if I would not have any other hobbies, I'd first and foremost opt for the Spitfire FR XVIIIe (plus the spare engine), second would be the Swordfish (even though I have no idea what the top overhaul of it's engine would turn out to take), and finally the Draken.

Oh these petty encumbrances of life when all you really want is a spitfire...lol

Well if we are making choices it would be the Storch, must be one for sale somewhere.

Then the brand new Me 262 or at a pinch a new FW 190 A series.

How much are kidneys worth these days !
