Thanks Whitecat.  Your repaint inspired me to improve this "desolate" map.

Thanks guys.  I just found a Japanese website with a list of airfields, photos, etc.

Very cool CzechTexan!! Am I right guessing, that the follow up of this will be one of your awesome campaigns? :D I may return to play IL2 only for that :)

Ya, I wanted to continue with the late war theme which started with Sakishima and Little Giants.  My plan was to show carrier operations against Kyushu but when looking at they Kyushu map, I noticed there were not any airfields on the eastern coast and only a few on the map!  So, as you improved the map's textures, I decided to improve the map's airfields.

Once I am finished with the airfields project, I will start making a new campaign(s).

I have a couple books and some online information but I'd like to find a book or other online source that has more information about the carrier raids and USAAF raids on Kyushu and other parts of Japan.  If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.

This one in the final part 'Home Defence' has some interesting stories about pilots of the JAAF fighting raids of B29s over Japan :)

Thanks for the tip.  I also have a couple books about B-29s over Japan.  I'll probably also make some type of B-29 campaign for this map.
I've built some more fields.  Here's one of them:
Kagoshima field and seaplane base

CT, can you put railways in?

IIRC, the stock Kyushu map does not have them.
