Size 22.448.651 Bytes
Size on harddrive 22.450.176 Bytes
That's the size of files.sfs after installing Patch 4.08m.
Didn't you say you've installed your game from "Stock CD"?
I become suspicious about your statements.
There is no such thing like a "Stock CD", the game was shipped on DVD and the difference should be well known.
Stock DVD game installation is 4.07m and not 4.08m.
If you installed 4.08m on top, why didn't you tell us?
Or is it that you've in fact installed your game from one of those *cough* "sources" floating around on the net?

Best regards - Mike

As I wrote, it worked weeks ago also with patches up to 4.12, I used the original game DVD.

So, I guess we can say my game files are broken.. however this is possible since I never touched the original files by myself.

That folder does not show an original IL-2 DVD, that much is for sure.
Parts of it are original, others are not.
It pretty much looks like a "cracked" DVD content from the Internet and could very well contain damaged and/or infected files.

The next thing you could do is download a checksum generator, e.g. MD5summer.
In the "please select root folder" dialog, select the parent folder of your IL-2 game folder.
Click "Create sums".
Choose your IL-2 game folder one the left side and click "Add recursively". Wait. This will take a while.
Click "OK" and let the program create the checksums. Wait. This will take a while.
At the end, you will be prompted for a filename to store the checksums to.
Save them to a file of your choice, extension will be ".md5".
Send us that file (e.g. through mediafire.com).

This is the only way to tell which file got damaged or at least to investigate how severe the damage to your DVD is.

Well...
That's not the hashdump created from the folder where you've reported the "files.sfs" size of:
Which size (in bytes please) does your files.sfs have?

Size 22.448.651 Bytes

Did you forget to tell us something?

Okay I see.
But this installation will not complain about being unable to mount an SFS file anymore, so the question is: What's the current issue with this one now?
