This mod simulates distinctive feature of famous BF-109, that for some reason was omitted by game developers - adjustable tailplane, operating as trimmer.
Now U will see elevators moving independently from trimmer control input, and adjustable tailplane, rotating by trimmer control.
Mod benefits all BF-109 series, except Zwilling.

Known issues:
- elevators moving sharply (it may be not issue for someone taste);
- tailplane moves on same degree upwards and downwards due to game trimming model.

Similar mod I'm also posted on AAA. Version for SAS differs by the attempt to made result
of lossing or damaging control and stabilization surfaces more realistic.
In other words, DM for tailplane changed to affect FM different way.
For example:
- U may lose elevator control or elevator trimmer control separately, if some connecting rod are broken;
- if U lose even both elevators, U will still have some trimmer control;
- if U lose half of elevator or tailplane, remaining part will have some effect on roll, i.e. will act not only as half-elevator or trimmer, but also as small aileron;
- without half of tailplane landing will be a bit more difficult, U supposed to aply full trimmer and use trottle wisely;
- in result of full loss of tailplane, your Messerschmitt will be dragged to dive, instead of roll in random side, U will have to bailout immediately.

Just my small contribution to technical accuracy.

ADD-ON (v4.09)---------------------------------------------------------------
Likely, there is a lot of such mods around, but, nevertheless, I decided to share these small mods, which adds some Bf-109's historical loadouts, missed in original IL-2:

MG 151/20 Motorkanone for Bf-109 F2, G10 & G14 (became stock loadouts since v4.10);
MG 151/20 Motorkanone with pair of MG 151/15 instead of MG131 for Bf-109K4 and late K4 (C3 fuel);
Mk 103/30 Motorkanone with pair of MG 151/15 instead of MG131 for late Bf-109K4 (C3 fuel).

Grab a gun and have a fun!

ADD-ON (v4.101)--------------------------------------------------------------
Some new historical & "what-if" loadouts for G-6 (late), G-14, G-10, K-4 & K-4C3.

Added powerful G-6/U6 configuration:
U6: MK 108 Motorkanone +2x MK 108
U6R3: 3x MK 108 + Typ D Abwurftank (droptank)

Added bomb loadouts for G-10:
R1: AB 250
R1: SC 250

Added rocket loadouts for G-10, G-14, K-4 & K-4C3:
R7: 2x Werfer-Granate 21
R7R3: 2x Wfr.Gr.21 + Abwurftank

Rearranged K-4 & K-4C3 gun loadouts, added some bomb loadouts.
K-4C3 loadouts:
MK 103M Motorkanone
MK 103M + 2x MG 151/15

K-4 & K-4C3 loadouts:
MK 108 + 2x MG 151/15
MG 151/20 + 2x MG 151/15
MG 151/20 Motorkanone
MG 151/20 Motorkanone +Abwurftank
MG 151/20 Motorkanone + AB 250
MG 151/20 Motorkanone + AB 500
MG 151/20 Motorkanone + SD 500
MG 151/20 Motorkanone + 4x SC 70

R6: 3x MG 151/20
R6R3: 3x MG 151/20 + Abwurftank
U6R3: 3x MK 108 + Abwurftank

Slightly changed G-14 AI behaviour. Now it has become more prone to turn fight, and IMHO become more dangerous, at least, to other AI. K-4C3 marked as recon plane.

Known issues: due to absence of special hooks in stock 3D models, some loadouts looks awful in loadout screen, but in the game it looks O'k.

Nicely done Twister!

Gerax: Since I'm working on the 262 right now, I might as well add it :)

Twister, that sounds very interesting, and I'm sure it was a lot of work! Thanks! I love flying the 109s and I know up until now Il-2 didn't have an exact replica of their tail controls and trimmer. This is another great mod to round off the 109s... :D

Crazyflak, that isn't a hook that controls it but the mapping of the textures. That is a very difficult job and I unfortunately am not skilled enough nor know if it is possible to have a decal extending across a static to moving surface

Thanks Twister ;)
Anto, the same class is used in your mods in the folder "BF_109_default_slots", there are some incompatibility?

Anto, are you sure you haven't misread Crazyflak's post? it seems the swastika needs to be moved up a little, and doesn't need to go onto a moving surface....if you're talking about it being on the rudder, it's not........unless, of course, i've misunderstood your post... ;D

Will you in future eventually do this 262 tailplane mod too?  ;)
If there is certain interest, why not? Video U posted is very interesting, but it would be more useful, if U submitted trimmer deflection angles. Puty, I can't do anything with rudder trimmer, as it riqures separate 3D detail for itself, which is absent.
I hear, at least FW-190 and Ju-87 also having same type of elevator trimming.

Hi'
All this evolved into the "flying tail" which made the transonic speed-flight possible.

IMHO, it's just best trimming technique possible at these times.

Ahh my bad, didn't misread him, I didn't look at the picture properly. That is a little bit more possible but I will need to have a peak at the tailplane 3D in 3DS Max.
