This is a semi-historical, 6-mission static campaign, set during the second half of 1952. You are US Marines Aviator in Nightfighting unit, flying the Grumman F7F-3N (made by
Edlor, based on the SAS version of the F74 made by the
Freemodding Team). Your task is mainly to hunt and kill "Bedcheck Charlies", North Korean aircraft of several makes, but mainly Polikarpov Po-2 biplanes, that are harassing troops and bases in Korea. In one mission you will be meeting a larger scale raid on Seoul, in another you will be flying a nightly escort for B-29's.
You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2396This campaign uses CY6's revolutionary C&C Mod, which for the first time makes it possible to simulate REAL nightfingting tactics! This means that a successful intercept depends on you following the directions first from the Ground Control and then, when you get closer, from your Radar Operator ("RO"). Just following the way-points on the map will NOT be enough. Once you get home you will be guided by the airfield lights, by a Lorenz Blind Approach System PLUS a signal flare!
Note that there is a strong random element in all missions. For instance, weather, enemy skill, composition of enemy air units and thei timing, plus the exact enemy ground dispositions will vary from mission to mission, so even if you replay a single mission it will probably not be the same. This means that that some patrol missions may be eventless, just as in real life! On long missions the weather will be dynamic, i.e. it will change during flight.
Your on-board radar operator will not only give you the radar data, he will also help you navigate, and watch out for both enemy aircraft and enemy ground units. Again you will see this as text messages across the screen.
Requirements: As mentioned above, if you have DBW ("Dark Blue World") 1.71 + the Nachtjagd Mod Pack you have all you need to run this campaign.
* You can find DBW 1.71 here:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,54465.0.htmlBAT or CUP? As I understand that most of the features of the C&C Mod is now working in BAT, the campaign could very well work with that Mod Pack. You Bat-ers out there could simply give it a whirl and report back!
Recommended reading: The literature on the Korean Air War is pretty slim, at least compared to that of WW2. But there are some good titles around for those who wants to know more. John R Brunings "Crimson Sky" is a good over-all history of the Air War over Korea, Warren Thompsons "Korea - The Air War" consists mainly of colour photos, but is very interesting nevertheless. Leonid Krylovs and Yuri Tepsurkaevs "Soviet MiG-15 Aces of the Korea War" explodes a number of myths, not least the one of the total superiority of the US airforce.
