Many things were less buggy.
Someone broke your radars on MiG-21's...

Guys, patient please.
For one, you cannot be sure that it's not just something on your end.
And don't forget what a bunch of additional features there are being added by this pack.
Doing a major version update always includes the risk of breaking a couple of things.

Ask yourself how motivating it is when you just kicked out a new version with a massive effort, and all you get back is 3 rather useless grumblings, with no explanation how to reproduce your issues, no logs, just pure simple genuine grumbling.
That's ungrateful and uncooperative to say the least.
I know you can do better.

Always remember: Do as you would be done by.

Best regards - Mike

New Beta version is released.

It uses Engine MOD 2.8.0w.

Radar codes are much changed but it might make new bugs.
I want to move Radar codes from Cockpit class into Aircraft class.
Because of today's (from old v1.0) Radar codes are written in Cockpit class, the Radar stops working in switching the cockpit to Laser aiming or externals. My plan will solve the problem.
Even tasks will need some months to finish, my plans have new implements around Radar and Laser like Laser cockpit follows the object Ground Radar locks-on.
Today, conf.ini --- Mods section --- RealisticRadarSelect=1 is written, Semi Active Radar Homing missiles like AIM-7 needs Radar lock-on to fire. But that lock-on operation is not finished.

Hi Western,

Thanks for the hard work getting these three Aircraft to work in IL2. I recently updated and started testing this version 4 beta as I love the Hornet and AV8B. I added the new updated pack 4/11/17 along with engine mod 2.8.Latest Weapons pack etc.
Issues:
1/ Wing unfold for FA18C/D causes a CTD.
2/ Laser engagement angle is very narrow making low level GBU attacks very difficult. The current engagement angle suits the F4 Phantoms early Laser technology perfectly. The Hornets Laser does have a wider angle similiar to the F111 Pavetac system.Version 3.7 was better in this regard.
3/ radar is better both in Air to air and Air to ground. It would be great to have terrain mapping TFR similiar to the basic version used in the Strike Fighters series of simulators for night navigation.
4/ Weapon load outs are great and love having the Maverick and Harpoon missiles on the Harrier!!
5/ No Royal Australian Air Force, Kuwaiti or Finnish Hornet Skins ?????????????

All the best.

1/ Wing unfold for FA18C/D causes a CTD.

Applied?
Latest Guided Missiles patch 14th/Nov./2017 , a part of Engine MOD 2.8.0w .

Even F/A-18 side laser designator can light up ground targets around 360 degrees, Laser guided bombs Paveway-II or Laser guided missiles AGM-123A / AGM-65E's seeker head swing area is still limited only in their front .... about each 45 degrees of L/R/U/D ? I cannot find its reliable data.
Low altitude attack is hard from its system.
Historical operation altitude , how high or low ?

Another problem .... Laser cockpit manipulation is difficult .... yes, I know.
I think I will make a bit better about it.

New Java pack is in 1st post.

It needs both Engine MOD 2.8.1w dated today and Weapon pack Generation 2016-iii dated today.

Even today's update, AI makes strange nose up and climbing in going-around to wait crowded runway becomes clear.
Please wait next update.

New JavaPack is published in 1st post.
It requires today's new Engine MOD 2.8.3w.

Changes and Fixes on 19th/Mar./2018 from 24th/Nov./2017 :
- Fix elevator moving on landing. In Flap switch position "HALF"-- elevator made automatic up or level for taking-off against player's operation, In Flap switch position "FULL"-- elevator is fully controlable by player.
- Radar Warning Receiver code is deleted and changed to use Engine MOD 2.8.3w's RWR utility. Its message functions are made historical (cannot detect IR missiles, but RIO may tell you on F/A-18D by his eyes). Cockpit instrument visual RWR function is not implemented yet.
