Thank you Karla. Problem was that LOG=1 ofc... Now USS Nimitz is so far full working in my game too. 4.12.2m, 5.3, 2.7.3w.

If  you are planing take great screenshot with new mods, don't plan anything before you have full installed working mod. Otherwise installation is going to fail badly. *true story

Actually I have the Nimtz in game - my problem was absence of the French carriers.

At the end - a catapult does not work  :(

Probably not so Ranwers!  Are AI taking off OK?  The Player cannot takeoff Auto anymore, must be manual takeoff.

I just installed the BATEP07 (read the read me numerous times first) - Have Nimitz but neither me nor AI take off. They track ok, but I track off to the right of the cat and jolt off the deck into the ocean. Looks great and looking forward to getting it working right.

Hello FritziE, the carriers in BAT do not allow a AI take off for some reason, I have read it somewhere most likely it is in the manual
or in some area in the threads dealing with BAT. ;)


I myself do not fly much any more for health reasons so test everything with AI, in this instance you can set auto and it will do everything
up to putting you on the cat but then you need to disengage auto, make sure you are at full power and release the chocks.

Allergic to Hi-resolution mod?  o_O LOL

Only solution would be reducing all the skin sizes inside the "mod" folder to the normal 1024x1024 size
using *photoshop or Gimp....
....BUT  you will loose some details when you look at the mod close-up.

Please DO Install the high-resolution mod. It comes in very handy.
Many maps now use some HD skins too, So you need it.

Sorry... allergia can't be fought...but... found the solution : should have looked in the RAR file before posting... there is a folder with lorez files... just had to switch, et voilĂ  ! I am happy now !

Nadvgia - Nimitz should appear in 4.12.2m, but the catapults don't seem to work. Look at the 4.12.2m requirements in the first post which I've just added. (This evening I used Seb's settings (post #20) to carry out further checking and testing). It may help to know that I've found that appearance in FMB but not in game has sometimes come from errors in Ships.ini where two separate entries are required.


It was the French carriers that were missing ;) Karla, what an amazing job you did! No wonder it lags my actual pc with such detailed work  :D fortunately for me i will get a new one shortly so i can enjoy this amazing mod! Thank you once again ! :)

Thanks for the advice, Pete! I have always done full manual take offs from carriers. I can hook to the the cat but when everything is set the plane does not accelerate (I have check the brakes aren't on) - I hit 60-70 mph at end of flight deck. Also the plane does not track down the cat launch but off to the right. Left cat goes off deck almost in front of right cat and right cat goes off the starboard side of the boat. AI tracks normal but fails to launch.

Any other carrier all is normal.

I have been trying a few things and I will keep an eye in the BAT Tech help thread as I am sure some others will have the same thing - there is always a little ghost in the machine.
