HI Agracier, is this the same textures that your starter China maps have?
I'll have a go at Formosa Coast AKA Taiwan Straits...

Mybe we should all use the same textures to give teh area soem sort of continuity, right?

These textures, used in the very latest version, are very different from the Formosa map - which are mainly textures by redko ... they have little in common except that the color scheme is predominantly green.

But even on the Hankow maps, the last version, the one with 'total retexturing' is also quite different from the first version - especially concerning cultivated fields ... the first version didn't really look like I thought it should and with some lucky happenstances and such the retexturing turned out to be far better ... so no, the textures are not really the same.

As to using common textures for maps that are in effect so far apart and in different climate zones, that's up to everyone's personal appreciation. I try to give each new map a somewhat different feel by using different textures, mainly I agree, for the fun and 'feel' you get when different textures are used ... and also consider:central China is a far different area than Formosa and separated from each other by enormous distances. No wonder they look so different ...!

But if you'd like to retex one of those maps, then please, by all means, feel free to do so and if you like the results, then post them as well. The more maps and variations, the better as far I am concerned ... once i post a map, anyone is free to do what they like with it.

Most of these objects seem to be from faibanfred's objects ... I believe they come with Fabianfred's Burma or Thailand maps ...

The map contents should go in your mods folder, (Mods, #SAS, or what ever it is)/Maps. Any textures should go into the textures folder Mods/maps/ _tex, and the .ini line goes into the maps text document, also in the Maps folder.

Unzip into a easy location, and then it should be just cut n paste onto the folder that has the same name already in your game. .ini line will still have to be added manually.
