However, try deleting the classfiles in the mod and see if that will help. The sound won't be the way I set them, but you'll have something.

Not to be a noob at this, but what are classfiles? I am supposing - by process of elimination - that these are those oddly named/numbered files with no extension ... but I ask nevertheless just to be certain ...

So the classfiles aren't needed?

well, they might be needed for some special sounds, but if you're happy with the sounds without them, then there should be no problem.....
you can always do a search for classfiles with a similar name in your Mods AND Files folder, just to see if there are any potential conflicts.
trial and error testing is the next step, if you want to add the classfiles in.... ;)

Good idea. I mean I haven't had any issue as of yet, but then again things can be happening that aren't visually obvious.
I love these sounds, although I am tempted to look into changing the sound of the .303's to another one I have, as I find them a bit loud! Other than that this is great when installed over tiger's mod.

As Malone said, they are needed to point to certain sounds that aren't in the default setup. If the classfiles are removed, you go back to the old setup and some sound files aren't used.

  • Naturally common sence is always ignored...

Blindly guessing you'd might want explosive sounds similar to those in 'Cross of Iron', but of a size & playability/easy of listening of 'Cannon Fodder'?

It is nice to have realistic explosion sounds. But this is not essential I just think is that possible. The game itself is really good without any realistic explosion sounds but it would be nice addon ;)

Krump krump krump krump...

afaict/wiba sounds of Flak36 8.8cm's, Pak38 5cm's, MG34's/42's, 2cm Flak38's, MP40's & K98's.
Flak36/41 8.8cm (sounds not so strong due to repaired barrel weakness + blanks, but you can hear recoil buffer 'sliding')
you can hear the sounds of what I believe are MRS 21cm's, SIG33/SFH18 15cm's, LEFH18 10.5cm's.

I did a complete overhall of all the explosion sounds (small, medium, and large) in my sound mod.

I agree, the default impact sound used for 30mm+ shells is pretty weak. Here is what I came up with:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/cb617f4/n/exp3_19.wav

It works pretty well for 30mm to 50mm shells without being too obnoxiously loud.

And here are a couple of my large explosion sounds:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/cb61703/n/exp_big_3.wav

http://www.filefactory.com/file/cb6170b/n/exp_big_1.wav

These are used for large bombs.
