PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING!

Just as the title says, this mod of mine that I've been doing for a while changes the sound of every single gun and rocket in existence in the game. Because I use a custom sound mod with classfiles left from the old AAA UI, the weapons sound presets have now been changed from the standard SAS.

(I always liked AAA's gun assignment sounds better, but SAS makes up for it with its engine sound assignments. ;D)

There are probably some extra un-needed classfiles, but of course, I have no way of knowing which ones, so I kept em all. They never conflicted with my mods because I personally kept them in the files folder rather than the mods folder, away from any intrusions.

HOWEVER: This mod will not work with any weapons mod (except probably the italian gun mod by CirX) and sadly it will not work with HG&P's bullet ricochet mod either.
If you do not like the fact that this sound mod conflicts with any of your mods that you like to use, feel free to extract the wav files and use em yourself for whatever sounds you wanna make. Do whatever you want with the files, I personally don't care. It's my treat to you guys.

These sounds were collected through various sound releases that I have seen, with a good bunch of these sounds also being my own. So I hope you like em.
Along with gun sounds, I also included bomb whistles, bomb releases, and rocket engine of a weapon rocket (X-4, HVAR, R4M, RS-32, etc., NOT the aircraft rocket engines.[to be released later])

My personal best sound that I have made in this is the rocket launch sound that you hear from Katyushas, Panzerwerfers, etc. I was always tired of having them use a gun sound file, so now they sound like authentic rocket launches. AND YES, THEY SOUND ACCURATE, according to myself, anyways. However there was one loss: Very few ground artillery share the same sound file. So you either have guns sounding like rockets or rockets sounding like guns, unfortunately, I can't separate that.

I would personally like to hear feedback on what you guys think, and I especially would like feedback on the rocket launch sound. Enjoy, folks!

PS: If you want to try and make this compatible with those mods, simply delete the class files in the mod. Deleting the classfiles will give you some of the aircraft guns working, but all of the ground guns will still work fine with or without the class files.

I'd love to try it, but the richochet mod is one that I really can't fly without. In what way does this conflict? ;)

The ricochet mod has the weapons files in the classfiles that point to the default pathways of the sounds, and not the ones that I have set.

Of course, you can delete my classfiles, and my mod will still work partially. It won't conflict with anything else this way, but you don't get the benefit of EVERY sound that I have in there.

OK, I'll give it a go when I next get some stick-time ;)

I'm hoping these sounds are louder than the ones in Tiger's mod ;)

Funny, I just installed the mod (without deleting any classfiles) and it's working perfectly with the richochet mod! Love these sounds as well! Great pack, and installed over Tiger's mod, I can now hear all my gun sounds in cockpit! :D

It will work, just  not the way I had it set up.

I've had the oddest occurrence when using this pack. It seems that many German/Italian planes, FW-190's, G-55 and the new Avia S-199 for instance experience accelerated time when I fire one of the primary or secondary weapons. Sounds whacky but I tested it on a few dozen planes and it was on Axis planes only that this happened.

Pull the trigger on one of 2 weapons and whammo - the plane started shooting through the sky at accelerated time ... at first I thought it was some sort of weapons backlash or whatever, but in F3 view it was very plain to see.

I un-installed the sound pack and the accelerated time was gone ...

I would suspect that one particular type of (Axis) weapon is causing this. But I have no knowledge at all of sounds files or mods so I thought it best to point it out.

Many of the weapons sounds are great and I'd like to re-install, but I can't go zipping through the skies every time i pull the trigger ... ha ha

So if anyone has experienced this before or knows a fix ...

Ah yes, this happened on both UP2.0 and UP2.01 and with new and previous buttons ...

Well, I never used any of the big packs. So I can't really say whats in there that can be conflicting with it.

I have a custom install.

However, try deleting the classfiles in the mod and see if that will help. The sound won't be the way I set them, but you'll have something.
